That's a good one Mick, ship out on loan to Crawley,Yorwerth, one of our brightest prospects who impressed everyone at Man U. Great for his confidence! When will he have the courage & nous to give others a decent run at key positions we have all been banging on about.

Not happy. At least we know one 606er who will be pleased.....and keep Tabbs on him! Last time I drove round Crawley and Horsham, at least 3 new towns sprung up...and the road to A29 to Bognor ran out....literally!

Personally i think Yorwerth, Emmanuel and Clarke are better than what we currently have!!
Big strong lads with pace and can play a bit, instead of slow sloggers that can only hoof!!

Spanish I agree with what you're saying re them three I'd like to play but sadly Mick's instructing the defenders to hit the channels.

With the players we have this season, I would like to think Mick will get the defenders to pass to feet more.

CM also are an issue they need to come looking for the ball.

I have seen a few games now Westy and i can honestly say 'we are average at best'
Our passing is piss poor and we are soooooo bloody ponderous on the ball. When i compare what i saw this time last year to now, we have gone backwards, yet we have better players!!! I remember us at home to Boro last season, bloody great but compare that to recent gsmes, its a million miles away, that had to be down to MM anf his tactics or lack of bloody tactics!!

Gotta say Spanish the " average at best " comment is what I was thinking the entire Bristol City game, cannot say otherwise.

The squad is lightyears ahead and we're finding out feet I think - players are being encouraged to play a bit more in midfield / attack but Mick HAS to get the defence playing it more simple more and more.

I think a fully fit Bru / Bishop may allow this to happen - it's frustrating Spanish but we've got a good side this year and are nicely in the mix.

I think what is more alarming, is the fact that we have only kept 2 clean sheets in our last 21 games (4 in the last 32 games) - that's definitely not promotion form. The problem we have is, as we are now going more attacking, we just simply aren't good enough, and creative enough to make this "new" formation more profitable. Another issue I have, is that we are still in September, and we have used 26 different players already, and 5 different forward pairings. Out of the 12 games so far this season, the most games a pairing have had, is 4, and that's Sears/Murphy - Mick needs to find his best partnership, and give them a good run of games together.

I was also looking at some of the stats, and have noticed that (contrary to popular belief), Smith is our better "defender". He has won 58% of his duels, compared to Chambers (46%) and Berra (51%). He also has a tackling success rate of 70%, compared to Chambers at 44% and Berra at 55%. I know stats don't generally paint the bigger picture, but it does show that Smith is a better defender than the other two, although admittedly his positional skills leave lot to be desired.

As for our midfield two of Skuse and Douglas, surprisingly Skuse has created 8 chances, whereas Douglas has a big fat zero. Their duel stats, show that they have won less than they have lost (avg of 54% lost, to 46% won). I think this highlights the fact that we need someone in the middle that can win the ball more than Skuse and Douglas do.

As for team stats, we are in the bottom three for passing accuracy and we have the joint highest "length of pass" (ie, we're long ball merchants)

(I've probably bored most of you, but it kept me busy during my lunch hour LOL)

Can't see a problem with sending him out to get game time, I don't think he is ready for a starting place week in week out so better to play elsewhere rather than on the bench here IMO.

It seems that Mick gets some stick for not giving these players a go......but people only know about them because Mick has belief in them enough to have given them first team football.
