So folks it's back! Another Championship season complete with new players, new optimism, and more importantly, new gadgets (see below).

6,700 of us will be making the short journey down the M69 to tear some Chavs a new arsehole (oh yeh, every season also comes with a new arsehole now, and I don't mean the Hull wums ;) )

Anyway, from the signings we've already made and assuming we make no more before Staurday, I'd like to see this team take the inevitable 3 points from the catbinners

    Subs:
    Weale
    St Ledger
    Johnson
    Dyer
    Waggy
(if you would like to post your team in the same fashion, follow this:

    http://www.footballuser.com/post )

I have included the key players from last season - King, Wellens and Gallagher. Even in this new look team, I think they will be important. I've decided to put Nugent on the right as I feel Vassell must play in the centre, and we don't have many other options up front as we speak. Danns impressed me vs Madrid and I'd like to see what he can create against this shower of ****.

The defence picks itself for me, hopefully Bamba will have one of his good days, Peltier was solid against Madrid and I think the lad deserves a chance. I'd fancy him to get up the wing more than Pantsil too.

Now enough of the over-confidence, I'm well aware this will not be a walkover. In fact unlike quite a few I can easily see it being a draw. I think we'll have the majority of the possession but breaking down and 11 man defence may be difficult. We should win, but my gut feeling is a 0-0 or 1-1 draw.

But **** it, I'll start being pessimistic after the Reading game ;) 3-0 - Nugent, King, Vassell.

    Over to you <ok>

Your new toy isn't working for me Emilio. But anyway, I'd go for:

    Schmeichel
    Peltier - Mills - Bamba - Konchesky
    Wellens - Abe - King
    Danns - Nugent - Gallagher

    Subs:
    Weale
    St Ledger
    Pantsil
    Johnson
    Vassell

I think the back 5 pretty much picks it itself. I'd go for Abe holding because he looked very good against Real Madrid and I saw evidence that he's learnt more about English football; that you have to be more combative and aggressive in your tackling and he played that position very well. I put Danns out wide because he looked quite lively out wide and supported Nugent more than Vassell did when he played out wide. I also think Danns is more creative than Vassell. In the middle, I left out Johnson because I didn't think he's 100% fit right now and I don't think he's ready to start yet. I'd give him 90 minutes in the Carling Cup game in midweek.

As for a prediction, I'll go for 2-0 to us. Goalscorers will be King and Nugent. Can't wait for Saturday now.

Im guessing it will look like this.

Abe's defensive duties probably won't be needed tbh.

Johnson, Weale, Howard, St Ledger, Dyer as subs.

    Kasper

    Pelts bamba mills konch

    danns wellens king

    Vassell nugent Gally

I've got a bad feeling about this one as we seem to struggle to beat them, and the fact it's first up wont help. I'm going for a 2-1 foxes win as a birthday present for me.

Has to be 4-3-3, we havent played anything but in pre season. Im like

    Schmeichal

    Peltier Mills Bamba Konchesky

    Wellens
    Danns King

    Gallagher Dyer
    Nugent

But i have a feeling sven will swap Dyer for Vassel and Peltier for Paintsil.

Scoring goals is going to be a major problem (barring new signings) and playing Nugent on his own up front like last Saturday is a waste of time. I would go as follows:

    Schmeichal

Pantsil St. Ledger Mills (Capt) Konchevsky

    Bamba

    Wellens Danns King

    Kermorgant Nugent

    Subs

    Weale Tunchev Johnson Dyer Howard

it may be, but id start out in our usual system to see if we can grab one. If not, then think about throwing waggy/kermorgant on. Bamba wont be played anywhere other than CB and 4-3-3 will be played as its our pre-season system.

    Schmiechel
    Peltier, Mills, Bamba, Konchesky
    Danns, King, Wellens
    Vassell, Nugent, Gallagher

    Subs
Weale, Pantsil, St Ledger, Johnson, Howard

I think Sven could also decide against a keeper on the bench & opt for another striker maybe Waghorn

My prediction is a solid 2-0 win for us (Nugent & King)

I also think many of the players who were not picked to start or get on the bench will play against Rotherham on Tuesday.

I would like to think we'll be at a comfortable enough lead to enable Johnson get 20 minutes fitness under his belt and a full 90 against Rotherham.

When he's at full fitnesss again he'll be one of the best attacking midfielders in the league.

Yeh I think he could be massive for us. The Man City fans rave about him still, and think about what they've got to compare him to.

A midfield of him, Fernandes and King/Wellens/Danns is as good as West Hams with Nolan, Faye and Taylor IMO

2-3 to Leicester. A howler from Schmeichel and own-goal from Bamba in the first half, giving us all heart attacks and sparking hundreds of posts from the doubters (especially Leeds fans <doh>), followed by a brilliant goal from Bamba and a brace from King in the last 10 minutes to complete a famous foxes victory!
(think I might be getting a bit over excited!)

No, over-excited is saying we are going to win 6-0 like some people are saying.

If you ask me we should win but it's got upset written all over it.
