Both the BBC and The Guardian had Pants and PVA in their Team of the week. Who'd have predicted that a few weeks ago? This is great and it's not even as if those two stood head and shoulders above some of the others on Saturday. I don't even know who got man of the match but I don't think that would have been clear cut - great team performance.
Interestingly, I found the Guardian team of the week at the bottom of an article about how bad Newcastle are - not sure if that was designed to rub it in but it amused me. Not being overly smug at work with the Mag fans just in case things change. Might be looking for a little bet though soon!

It wasn't Louise Taylor - that's their usual Geordie baiter.

    Not sure why Pantilimon.

Apart from that close range save he didn't have a great deal to do!!

Butland kept them in the game with a couple good saves before we went ahead.

Not worthy of its own thread so I'll put it here.

Liverpool currently 6-1 up at Southampton with more or less a second team against a full strength Southampton. Klopp has got them flying at the moment and next up for them is Newcastle... :)

It's meant as a compliment thoug Vince, in a sense that we defended well and he didn't need to do much.
