Mignolet Coleman -- Skrtel -- Ivanovic -- Baines Lallana -- Gerrard -- Yaya Toure -- Hazard Suarez -- Sturridge edit: actually the same front 6 as Foster, but that's because it's based on reality Mignolet and Szczesny are currently tied for statistically best keeper, so I go with Mignolet for LFC and momentum Shaw is close 2nd but Baines has done more, though he has penalty-taker advantage he wouldn't get in this fantasy team so a coinflip Skrtel is 2nd best defender in the league behind Coleman, which no doubt is due to their goals rather than clean sheets
so 5 Liverpool players, 1 city player and 2 Chelsea players despite both City and Chelsea ahead of you in the league (once City catch up their games). More Everton players than City? Not an exact science I agree but try and take a little bias out of it. No Terry in either team who has probably been best centre half in the league this year. Terry and Cahill easily the best pairing yet not picked. Ivan has played right back almost all year yet is being picked at centre half? Odd to say the least. If we're being biased.... Cech Ivan Terry Cahill Azpil Yaya Ramsey Hazard Silva Aguero Suarez
Ok....... I agree that backline has been good but you can't say take bias out then put in the whole back 5 of Chelsea when the likes of Kompany, Coleman, Shaw have been just as good as some mentioned. So no United players though, at least we can all agree on something.
Cheslea are 1 point ahead and City are 2 points behind Everton's football is strongly based on fullbacks so theirs are highly rated and have been very succesful this season Chelsea and City have bigger squads and have rotated more so their players have a smaller impact. You can check the actual stats for yourself here: http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/players/ea-sports-player-performance-index.html If Ivanovic isn't played at CB, the next is Terry but **** that, then come the Arsenal bottlers, then Cahill
I'll be a little controversial: -------------De Gea------------- Zabaleta---Terry---Metesacker---Azpil ------------Toure---lallana----------- ---------------Hazard---------------- Suarez-------Aguero---------Studge
I did say 'if we're being biased' before putting my team up though!! In reality I'd say Terry and Kompany are the best 2 individually but Terry and Cahill easily the best pairing in the league this year. No-one else is close as a pair. Coleman and Shaw have been good but good in the context of where their teams are in the league; Chelsea are top with the best defence in the league so why would only 1 of the back 5 get in? Is the exact same reason most Pool fans would pick SAS up front. I was half tempted with De Gea who I think has actually had a good season, as has Rooney.
Ya Coleman has been very good but I just like Zabaleta better. Kompany for sure! But he has been in and out with those weird red cards and injuries here and there. No doubt, probably THE best CB in the league when healthy and in form. They got him for like 10 mil too. Ramsey started hot but since then..... although that could go for Aguero and Silva to a degree ( Silva now getting back to his best but before was being passed up by Nasri). De Gea I think has been the one bright spot for United. Some of the saves that guy can pull off are unreal. Starting to get to grips with the physicality of the league.
----------Mingolet Coleman-Lovren-Terry-Shaw -----Toure-Fernandinho----- --Sturidge--Lallana--Hazard-- -----------Suarez Based on consistency players like Ramsey, Rooney, Mertsacker, Kompany, Aguero have either had dips in form or have been injured.
Fernandinho is a great shout. Massive price tag but vital for City to work efficiently. Need to switch Lovren and Terry as Lovren is a lefty.
Team of the year... GK - Marshall RB - Spanish Chap that plays for Chelsea CB - Chahill CB - Kompany LB - Baines MF - Fernadinho MF - Yaya MF - Gerrard RF - Sturridge LF - Hazard Striker - Suarez Would like to have shoe horned Silva in there, he's damn bloody decently good, is he, but Hazard, for me, just edges it over the course of the season so far..
Well, ignoring the fact that there is only three points the three of us, you could say Man City and Chelsea have underperformed whereas Liverpool are over achieving therefore some of our players must be having blinding seasons Love to know your reasoning for Aguero ahead of Sturridge since Danny has outscored the other AND been available for more of the season. Got to laugh at your bias claim too considering you've picked a Chelsea back five!
