Ideally thinking of players that played a decent time in the league but never won it (let's say 3 seasons minimum). One position at a time so I'll start with GK and put in my biased view of Shay Given. Not a worldie, just a solid player. Which better keepers never got their hands on the title? Can you do it without Googling? I almost went with De Gea before remembering I think he did won it under Ferguson, he was there for ages... Ps. Likely to do a "worst players to have won the premiership afterwards"
Good call that, certainly better than Given I reckon. Emi Martinez, world Cup winner, is probably in the conversation too. Shame he's not been able to win the title, he could have stayed at Arsenal and. Hang on just ignore that bit.
Good point, not going to lie I just don't really pay any attention to its name since they changed it first time.
Watched a documentary about him last year. Just can't beat it when they stand in what looks like a 1970s council flat and tell you that after winning everything the player went back to work 100 hours a week in the local steel factory and was rewarded by getting to open their local ASDA. I also watched "The Keeper". Was a bit fluffy as a film but the story behind it is great.
Fair play let's just do a full team now and I'll price options together on the OP later. (Cannot believe you've got Gerrard as a sub)
Can’t really have a guy who failed to turn up when it mattered in the Prem and as soon as he ****ed off they won half a title
Without giving it too much thought... Given Baines Gallas King Sagna Alonso Modric/Gerrard (can't decide here) Bale Le Tiss Suarez Kane
Yeah not the worst shout. Ledley King maybe. Hard to think of any really brilliant full-backs. Stuart Pearce maybe but he’s not very Premier League. Le Tiss would have won it if aliens hadn’t convinced him to stay at Southampton
