It was a good thread from bcfcredandwhite about our 07/08 team and where they have all ended up but to be fair most of them are all old and close to if not retiring so the clubs they would be at wouldn't be any good! So I was just wondering, we seen where our nearly men ended up, let's have a gander at where our no where near men are currently! GK Tom Heaton - Burnley, Premier League Dean Gerken - Ipswich, Championship Lewis Carey - Weston I believe? DEF Richard Foster - Rangers, Scottish Championship Mark Wilson - Dumbarton, Scottish Championship Liam Fontaine - Hibernian, Scottish Championship Lewin Nyatanga - Barnsley, League 1 Louis Carey - Shepton Mallet, **** knows James Wilson - Oldham, League 1 Greg Cunningham - Bristol City Brendan Moloney - Northampton Town, League 2 Matthew Bates - Hartlepool, League 2 MID Neil Kilkenny - Preston, League 1 Liam Kelly, Oldham, League 1 Brian Howard - Eastleigh, Conference Albert Adomah - Middlesbrough, Championship Cole Skuuuuuuuuuse - Ipswich, Championship Stephen Pearson - Motherwell, Scottish Premier Paul Anderson - Ipswich, Championship Bobby Reid - Bristol City (Plymouth Loan) Marvin Elliott - Crawley Town, League 1 Joe Bryan - Bristol City Yannick Bolasie - Crystal Palace, Premier League Martyn Woolford - Millwall, Championship Jody Morris - Retired ATT Brett Pitman - Bournemouth - Championship Sam Baldock - Brighton, Championship Steve Davies - Blackpool (Sheffield United on Loan) Jon Stead - Huddersfield (Bradford on Loan) Ryan Taylor - Portsmouth, League 2 Wes Burns - Bristol City (Cheltenham on Loan)
Interesting to see how many players that went down with us are now in Scottish and lower league football. Some players doing well in the championship though along with bolasie and Heaton in the prem
He's a thick **** isn't he! Was looking back at our team and that season we had the likes of Danny Wilson, Matthew Briggs and Stephen McManus on loan! Add to the Fontaine, Wilson, Foster and Nyatanga it's no wonder we were relegated!
There were some very average players in that list. Albert and Bolasie have been the best 2 to pass through in that era (Caulker too!).. liked Skuse too thought he was good at what he did.
Saw this about Bolasie on BBC news today- Doubt we had any sell on clause but would be good if we have http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32347986
