20th July they gave clearance to the 4 who'd chosen to leave and had found clubs by that stage. Lafferty had joined Sion in June, so it wouldn't surprise me if they met once a month to discuss these things so we could be without Aluko for Brighton. (Jakupovic shouldn't be an issue as there's no dispute over his contractual position) Obviously once they do the SFA tribunals set the compo, and if they say no Rangers will take it to the courts. We're not being helped in getting him for free by other clubs (Coventry and Southampton so far) having agreed compensation for players. It potentially sets a precedent that the courts would have to follow. (Scots law being common law meaning that results are based on what happened in previous instances of the same/similar events)
Rangers were liquidated and such action normally automatically terminates all contracts with only assets such as property and brand names being available for sale by a liquidator. I don't think we should have anything to pay but it could take a long time to settle if Rangers newco decide they want their day in court
these games been played before the league games are leaving the gates open for a few shocks, wouldnt be surprised if we where on of them due to the lack of pre season games for many of our players...cant say im too fussed anyway, im on a jolly boys outing in whitley bay ,
