Does anyone else think it was bizarre to bring Cairney on for meyler, who's first job when entering the pitch in the holding role was to mark zigic dropping deep to get his head on those high balls into midfield? It's nice to see cairneys game must be developing so well in that area that Bruce felt he could trust him with such a daunting task.
He trusted him at 4-0. I wouldn't say that's massive trust in TC. And looked what happened in the 12 minutes meyler was on the bench. Birmingham won 2-1
Meyler was brilliant, but once he was booked there was always a worry he was going to get a second. I'd of done the same if I were Bruce.
I'm not criticising bringing meyler off, or bringing Cairney on either, I just find it bizarre as it was evident Cairney had been tasked with marking zigic, I'd have thought it more likely to put mcshanadonna on and move Bruce forward or mark him, Faye in the middle or Evans.
Meyler should be in the same role vs palace with koren dropping deeper again, same front two, only changes i can see is bruce/hobbs macca/faye
No way should Hobbs be dropped..he's a rock, but maybe give Bruce a rest. As for Cairney, I agree it was a strange move, and would have thought McS Faye or Evans would have been a better option to replace Meyler...as soon as he came off the midfield opened up and allowed Brum to get their two goals.
I agree, but that's the only possible changes i can see, Mcshane or Faye will play.. hopefully it's for bruce though
With TC out injured (took a knock in monday training) then i would have Liam Rosenoir on the bench. It could be all hands to the pimp at the end of the game.
Yes and No. I would have had Faye on to take care of Zigic and push Chester into the Meyler role for the last 20 mins. Maybe SB just wanted to get TC some game time though.
I think Mcshane will play.. it has to be Bruce for the game it really does, Bruce needs a rest anyway
Ruddy I next to the U. Ok Ok, should be Pump. Lol. As for the picture, well we will be in London where anything goes.
looking forward to this one, despite it being a pain in the arse to get too on a tuesday night.. take a point now but hoping we carry on where we left off saturday and take what would be a massive 3 points...
