Definate proof there Steve. If his teamates joke about it on a website it must be true. I suppose 20 goals in his first season for us that was beset by injury and the tragic death of his son is also proof that he's crap. What a stupid thing to say from a supposed fan of our club.
Yeah that was stupid, but you also just wrote an article backing John halls. Lets get this straight then, you slate a striker who was our top scorer last season and is having a poor patch at the moment, and back an unknown midfielder who has at times jeopardised the team's defence due to poor positional play and a lack of composure. The idiots on the gasroom might back you, but (most) people on here believe in actually giving players time to adapt instead of instantly dropping players and buying/loaning in new ones who may not be any better.
the only thing i think rendell needs to do is get in the box more and he will score goals,lets not judge him until at least half way through the season.the gas room is always slating everyone in a blues shirt ,even nikki bull got the treatment last week ,thats why most of us are on here ,we are prepared to give players a chance ,even the great players in higher leagues than ours have loss of form now and then.
the good thing about this site compared to the gasroom is that when we disagree its done and dusted without all the hateful spite.
For me Rendall is what we need - someone who can put the ball in the net. For too many years we have gone on about it so lets try to support him. Obviously he doesn't put as much in as Strevens or Bevon but as we all know those guys don't get the goals we need. I can't wait to see Rendall and Beynon have 3-4 games starting togther, if they click then we should be safe mid-table.
Sorry JS disagree, I find the majority of the 'opinion' on there is pedants mouthing off about incorrect facts and poor grammar by other posters, kids from other clubs wanting a dust up with our non-existent hooligan base and, as suggested above, people moaning about players constantly. There are one or two things of interest in there but you have to sift through to find it. The structure, usability and navigation is also poor. It's just a bit silly and old fashioned and I'm glad there are more sensible, up to date message boards on the t'interweb now like this one, easier to use, don't have to filter through the junk to read interesting stuff and more normal people that just might have left the boundaries of High Wycombe once or twice in their lives. Just my opinion of course. As for Rendell, get off the bloke's back! He's hardly had a chance yet this season and he was top scorer last season (and don't give me the penalty argument, you still need to score them for them to count!). I think Rendell and Benyon were, in Wadds' eyes, his first choice strike force choice and I'm looking forward to them both having a run in the first team as i think the goals will come. They did last year from Rendell. I'm fully behind him and CERTAINLY, a few games into the season, not going to moan about needing a new striker. That's just silly and opinions like that should be banished to the Gaseous Room.
well said jock, i used to post on the gasroom myself but i just got fed up over the amount of anonymouses, the amount of rubbish in general and that some people on there forever pick on one player above anything else, with betsy, westwood, bloomfield and harrold just a few names. its a pity sometimes because a some of the stuff which is posted on makes complete sense and has been posted by those who know what they are talking about. i also agree about rendell, he has the potential to score pleantiful goals again this season. however, he can be quite the lazy player and, if beavon and benyon would hit goalscoring form, i doubt rendell would find a place in the team
It's been discussed on here before, but worth mentioning again - the gas room has a lot of people who are extremely informative and knowledgable about the club, JS included. But this is far outweighted by the absolute morons you have to sift through to find these little gems of information. As for the original post in this thread all I can say is, how very gas room.

the good thing on here ron there are no anons so we all know who is posting what which helps.there are some intelligent posters on there js included but the halfwits outnumber them unfortunately.
it's not even about the anonymous posters on the gasroom. Most of the regulars on there are so quick to shoot you down. It is basically an old boys club, who regularly reminisce about how they have been on the site since its inception and look down upon anyone else that posts. It's full of keyboard warriors that criticise spelling or grammar or wind up merchants that continually goad the regulars and ohhhh do they bite!!! It reminds me of a playground where bullying is rife. If you manage to cypher through all the crap then you can occasionally find some useful info
