If they sack Bruce now and give them a couple of season to recover from the **** he's got them in and they'll be fine

They've got a new squad who aren't used to each other yet. After the next tyne-wear derby, they may start to blossom together!

I hate to say this, but it is probably more of a blip. They got a point at Anfield remember? And it's only 2 games! I still fancy us being above them come May 13th though

Early doors yet. This is what I'd expect from some of their lot. We go 1 - 0 down and they say we're getting relegated. We're three games into the season, they've lost two and drawn one, away to Liverpool. If it carries on until Christmas, yes they're in trouble.

Tonight's game came too soon - they're still in mourning from Saturday ...
I'm sure they would have been happy to take a hammering tonight if they could have had a win 3 days ago.

    Poor buggers ...

Waaaaaay too late to call them a crisis club. Give it a few more games and im sure they will be scalping a few teams. Can see them beating Chelski now. Cos, they'll have a point to prove.

    This.

Everybody has seem to have forgotten the draw at Liverpool, (which nobody would have thought they would have gotten) now if they had lost, then yes they have had a bad start to the season but just 3 games in and suddenly Bruce is under pressure is just a bit OTT imo

Hhe just lost the derby match, and also against lower league opposition. He didnt even play a recognised striker tonight. So, I can understand why Sunderland fans are pissed off lol. And afew of them have been calling for his head for awhile. So, tbh I dont think its that OTT after all.

The Liverpool result was fluke, and we went 14 games without a win, then lost 8 out of nine matches, and sold Bent and Jones to cause a disaster which will now relegate us.

I think the anger that wasn't released on Saturday is coming out now, so it doesn't appear that Newcastle helped hammer the final nail into Bruce's coffin but Brighton did.

Yeah he lost the derby match and away at a top Championship Team... but that still only adds up to 2 matches! His tactics are bizarre, but I would say the League Table after 8-10 games is a better indication of where a team stands. If they're winless then, I would call it a crisis.

To be fair Brighton were the toughest team that Sunderland could have drawn, they are a dark horse this year. Its 2 defeats everything will be rosier if they win at Swansea on Saturday.

No I still think they're decent and it's POSSIBLE they could finish ahead of us. One bad result does not reflect a whole season.

dont think you'll be relegated, but selling those two was a massive mistake (although you probably didnt have much say in Bent going)
Jones - Gyan CF pairing would see you sweet (alternatively Sess playing off Jones)

Disagree about Brighton, they have just come up from League one and can play. Not trying to make excuses before our game but Scunthorpe are a tough team to crack.
They are one of a few teams to beat us when we were down in the fizzy pop league and Swansea Saturday for them will be just as hard. Again Swansea were a tough team who play a good game, I can see them drawing that.
