Mignolet Gardner JOS Bramble Rose Johnson Vaughan Cattermole Sessegnon Graham Fletcher If Cattermole is injured then Colback in with Vaughan. I'd put N'Daiye on the bench as he has far to much to learn to be relied upon in our potential relegation battle. Sessegnon quite simply must be placed on the left wing. Win the next 4 then we can speak of 8th-10th. Playing 4-5-1 at Reading was a mistake and does infact reveal a lack of dynamic thought on behalf of MON. That was the perfect time to release the shackles via 4-4-2.
When will the penny drop MON will not play a 442, do you really think we will / can win the next 4 games ????
MON aint going to change to 442. If anything he will but Fletcher in the Sess role and Graham up front by himself.
I believe that we have the players to win all 4 yet I doubt we will win all 4. That's why I believe we are in a relegation battle as opposed to a comfortable 8th-10th. We absolutely must play 4-4-2 with Sessegnon out on the left, and Alfie on the bench for me. Very raw and may come good, but now isn't the time for Alfie to be starting IMO. The problem we have here is that MON is still in the mindset of preventing a loss as opposed to going out for the win. Too many tough games coming up where preventing the loss will be bordering futile. Man U, Chelsea, Everton, Spurs...
NDayie is already head and shoulders above Colback and I don't just mean in height. Mon made a mistake taking him off and leaving Colback on. Last 15 minutes we were peppering their goal and instead of having a 6'4 tank in their we had two midgets who get a nose bleed if they go within 40 yards of goal
I hope you're right because I'd much rather be cheering on a player who is charging forward, spraying 30 yard paases around and banging goals in. If MON does go 4-4-2 with Sessegnon on the left, that will be enough of a change in the formation for my liking. We will need to balance attack with defence and that is why I'd put Colback and Vaughan in ahead of N'Daiye. N'Daiye can alway be used from the bench, it's not asthough he will be forgotten.
This, N'Diaye is undoubtedly still raw and needs to cut out a few mistakes but is more useful than Jack Passback, David Vaughan and Seb.
