Can't see a thread for it, team for Monday? With West Brom on awful form, and us being at home and on fantastic form, we should win this. Would go for pace and some squad players in this game. Reina Johnson-Carragher-Skrtel-Enrique Lucas Gerrard-Henderson Sterling-Sturridge-Suarez Think if Skrtel is dropped again, some tension will be made, Carragher won't be dropped as its his final season and everything. Midfield stays the same, Sterling to come in as its a game to regain some form. If Sturridge isn't fit, play Borini and see how he does in his natural position. Coutinho for Sterling or Hendo after 60, Allen for Lucas and maybe Wisdom for Enrique.
"With West Brom on awful form, and us being at home and on fantastic form" as long as we have the same attitude we have done in the last 2 games we should be fine, trouble is we all thought we should win against Villa and didn't happen. i hope to god Carra and SKrtel are not playing together, its a ruddy nightmare, prefer if Agger was there. agree on Borini playing centre, i know he is supposed to play where Brendan wants him to , but if he isn't effective there play him in the middle. like to see Coutinho gets some minutes on the pitch, looking forward to seeing what he is all about. just hope Henderson plays instead of Allen, think he deserves to be ahead with his recent performances, and hopefully will make Allen better or more determined when he gets a chance.
there is question marks over Coutinho being able to cope in the prem as he is quite small, depends how he has impressed in training, but don't see him starting personally. hopefully he gets 20 mins etc, so the home crowd can see what he is all about

Good to see him getting on with Suarez, as I'd expect. Lucas obviously another and doesn't Brendan speak Spanish. So, I'm sure he will be fine. 2nd half, 20-30 minutes??
Throw him in and see how it goes. All due respect to WBA, especially since they battered us 3-0 at the start of the season, but this is a good game for Coutinho to debut in. Not the best side in the league but they like to play football and (apart from Olsen) aren't too physical either.
Lukaku (spelling) i thought was quite physical. think he will cause our CB a few problems, agree they are not quite Stoke.
but surely at some point we expect Lukaku will drop to midfield to help out the team esp if we have a lot of possession, so the physical element would come into then. think it would be better to wait until he tires late on in the game then try Coutinho.
never thought i would say this but i am wondering if its better to play Sterling in Europa get used to playing against dif styles and get experience, and play Downing for league.
It's a different language with similarities. Some areas of Brazil the accent is almost Spanish (still Portugese though) but Rio is probably the most Portugese area of the country and Coutinho is from Rio (wiki fact so he might actually be Welsh). I'm sure he'll cope anyway, Lucas can chat Portugese and Borini a bit of Italian, Carra can teach him to say "eh eh eh" and "do one ya meff" and Suarez can tell him how to say........actually scratch that last one.
I was thinking that, if there are concerns about Coutinho and his strength/fitness then it'd be better to put him on at the end of the game. However the problem with that is, as he has pace and is injury prone, he is at risk of injury from defenders lunging in late. It's even more the case because he's a new player so his pace isn't really known.
Posters on here saying we are not sure if he will fit into the Premier League because of his size, another saying he is injury prone, WTF have we bought...??????
Small? Silva, Mata, Hazard, Garcia, JUNINHO Injury prone? RvP, Ba Seriously need to let the lad play and learn to play with his new teammates.
