With most of the comings and goings sorted shall we take a punt at the starting line up for tomorrrow.

I have doubts about playing 442 against Burnley although they have played that formation most of the season, IMO we need to dominate the midfield so would either go 4231 or 451, so I would go as follows:

    Green
    Hughes, Dunne, Hill, BAE
    Barton, Henry
    Phillips, Krancjar, Traore
    Zamora

If we need to chase the game Harold can then bring on AJ & Doyle.

Have to say it's not the most mobile side but in the circumstances it is more than capable of getting a win....

    Thoughts?

Cant have Zamora and AJ will get injured if he plays 2 games in a week.

    --------------Green------------
    Onouha---Dunne---Hill---BAE
    --------Barton---Henry--------
    Phillips----Krancjar------Traore
    ---------------Doyle-------------

Like the setup but we will have to bring in AJ from the beginning. We need to get those 3 points to gain some air between them and us and unlike recent home games we should show them right from the start that we are direct promotion favorites along with Leicester.

When you said team for tomorrow I thought you were talking about who is going to be in the C&S for 11am?

I like this. wonder a bit if Ned is fully fit, if he shouldn't play CB to give us more speed there against Clarets sharpish strikers and use Hughes at RB, but probably best not to disturb the back 4 so much.

if Jenas is fit I'd prefer him to Henry.

I don't think Doyle signed in time to play tomorrow.

I think Harry will go with something like this:

    ----------------------------Green-------------------------
    Hughes-------------Dunne----------Hill----------------BAE
    Phillips------------Barton---------Carroll-----------Kranjcar
    ---------------------AJ----------Zamora------------------

I'd prefer Ned as one of the centre halves if he's fully fit, as their forwards are a bit sharp!

    My team would be:

    -----------------------------Green-------------------------
    Hughes------------Onuoha---------Dunne---------------BAE
    --------------------Barton-------Henry---------------------
    Phillips-------------------Kranjcar---------------------Traore
    ----------------------Zamora-------------------------------

I would go for Harry´s selection - we do need to score goals rather than just preventing them.

Thought Ned was still injured; would prefer 5 in the middle, to cutoff their supply, and hit them on the counter

We're genuinely considering playing Zamora as a lone front man, Vs Burnley?

I would only query two of this side. either Ned or Hughes to play, but definitely Kevin Doyle upfront. He is match fit so no reason not to play him.

In that case I'd play him instead of Zamora.

I would have picked Doyle, but just thought new signing, straight in, is a big ask of him.

I think playing 442 would be daft as they would just play right through us and they have 2 good strikers, so need to out-number them in the middle, we could see how we were in trouble on Tuesday against a very ordinary Bolton side when they had 5 v 4 in the middle of the park.

As to who plays up front, it's almost a case of sticking a pin in a list of Doyle, Zamora & Johnson, although I can't really see Johnson playing up front on his own, so Doyle or Zamora..............

Doyle is a certainty to play tomorrow. He has trained with the team and it was a done deal earlier in the week.
