not sure if this has been done so i thought i would do one. GREEN HUGHES NED HILL BAE HENRY HOILETT BARTON TRAORE MORRISON MAIGA
I'd be concerned if Hill was at left back today, I seem to remember Chris Burke running him ragged at Loftus Road this season...
So would I. Ned should be at CB but while Simpson is injured and Hughes looks poor, I'd play him at RB. As for the rest................I have no idea who is fit and who isn't!! If most are fit I'd go for this: ---------------------------Green-------------------------- Onuoha------------Dunne-----------Hill----------------BAE ----------------Barton----------Henry--------------------- Hoilett-------------------Morrison-------------------Traore ------------------------Doyle-----------------------------
This team and formation for me. We cannot concede as many as we have been, particularly as the goals have dried up. Hughes is a centre back who can play full back at a stretch, he is certainly not a midfield player. That back 7 should be played regularly, in that formation for me.
.………Green……… Onunha Dunne Hill BAE …………Henry……… Hoilett. Barton. Traore Morrison ……………Doyle ………… About the best we could hope for
In my opinion, it is essential to have a CDM in our team until the end of the season. Henry should be starting pretty much every game he's available. I'm gonna stick my neck out and say Henry is one of our best players, especially by virtue of the fact that his off the ball work in midfield cannot be matched by anyone in the team. More attack minded players (Barton, Krancjar, etc) will come alive with him behind them and a defence will be a lot more comfortable with him in front. I am indifferent about who starts up front at the moment. Both Doyle and Maiga are a gamble in the sense that you never really know how well or poorly they'll play. I would be more excited if they stuck Hancock up front, not because I think he's technically better but because I'd be interested to see where his determination and passion would lead us. Also, I don't see why everyone on here is giving Maiga such a hard time. Give him a chance, for ****'s sake. He hasn't had that much time on the pitch and his scoring record for us so far, compared to time on the pitch, isn't that bad. QPR supporters not supporting QPR players.
What I don't understand is why he is being picked out for special attention. I agree he looks very lacking but then none of the January loanees have exactly excelled themselves. The biggest mystery is why so many seem to rate Hughes - he is painfully slow, easily outwitted and provides no winger options as a right back should - and yet is virtually immune from criticism.
I'll tell you why: because it's come to the point where we don't get behind players and give them the benefit of the doubt anymore. There have been plenty of times in football where a player with not such a great history at a previous club has gone to another team and come alive. That won't happen at QPR because us fans are against them from the word go.
