Our next 2 games, at home to Swansea and Liverpool! In my opinion, must win games if we're to put in a real title challenge. We should beat Swansea any way, they're a good team but we need to win. A draw against Liverpool would be decent but it's about time we won against them and started showing that we're ready for a title challenge! I'd rather not see Ramires at RW and Mikel, Lamps CM. This team looks much better and could definitely beat Liverpool! Merry Christmas
Think your Swansea team is better for Liverpool. Cahill and JT together are painfully slow, and Azpi should NEVER again play out of position. Bertrand is a much better option if Jose wants to continue his schoolmaster treatment of Cole. Lampard is a sub only for me, and a very good one. Starting, he gives us no control, which Mikel does, and for me Mata is heaps better than Willian, who has been a big let down. Time Jose put the club ahead of his childish games with great players.He doesn,t have to marry them or even like them, but he should play them.
i think i'd prefer one of our lbs getting a game too, but its probably a case of dave playing really well and not really justifying being dropped. i don't think its favouritism personally, im sure madridistas said the same about iker cassillas last year-lo and behold carlo came in and kept on with iker on the bench!! as long as we rotate a bit today i think with the quality we have we should be fine today...would love to see shurrle get a run out as i think he's a quality player who just needs to improve (an already decent) end product demba hopefully will get some minutes-for me sunderland showed eto'os past it and if he's only here for a year no point flogging that dead horse... As a side note im actually pretty impressed by willian got pace, good feet, and a desire to get stuck in anr help defensively. his problem is that he gets into good positions and a) makes the wrong choice or b) doesn't make the best of his chance. with mata love him as much as i do, i just don't think he can be effective out wide and behind the striker he has STIFF competition from oscar whom i believe is/will be a better player. the media loves to sell a story of juan being unfairly treated by jose because it's an easy one to sell, but can we really say he's consistently took his chances and played well when chosen?
Interesting that with Cole back, Lamps out, Mikel in and Mata and Luiz playing, we totally dominated the opposition and for the first time in weeks ,looked as if we wanted to win. Only after the subs did Swansea get a look in. The three outcasts made a huge difference, especially a proper left back. Hopefully all 3 will now be regulars and not the managers playthings. Proper rotation of Oscar/Mata, Azpi/ Brana, JT/Cahill/Luiz, Schurrle/Willian/Hazard can only be good for the Team, but please, no more players watching from the sidelines as part of their schoolroom detention. Boy do we need a striker. Eto'o is simply past it, Torres and Ba just no good anymore. WE would be walking matches with a decent finisher.
Luiz has been injured for a while. He will play in rotation now dUrimg busy periods. I am not a luiz hater but he was awful against Palace, so complacent
