Yes I know it's very early but with Adam almost certainly out I thought we could start the arguments!

Defence I assume picks itself unless Richardson is fit? KD stays in goal? Midfield Morgan Ramirez and Cork then Rickie and Punch plus who?

Do we start with J Rod, Guly, Mayuka or Lee?

Personally I'd go with Jrod but that said Guly has done well in both the recent games when he has come on and adds a bit of height.

    Let the discussions begin!

Rodriguez, because he's the best player. Nice simple reasoning from me.

Why would Richardson being fit make the slightest difference? Clyne and Shaw are the first choice fullbacks and are a class above Richardson.

Well as anyone could get injured between now and the 22nd this thread is just slightly premature.

With Adam out we need someone on the left midfield so how about playing Fox?
A bit tongue in cheek but would give Shaw additional support against Adam Johnson, good crosser of the ball, good corner and set play taker and a natural left footer.
Why play a right footed striker on the left wing? JRod has already proved he isn't of any use out there, Mayuka? No proof he is good enough to play in the first team anyway and Guly? He will get slaughtered by the boo boys as playing out of position he will not shine.

    Davis
    Clyne Fonte Yoshida Shaw
    Schneiderlin Cork
    Puncheon Ramirez Mayuka
    Lambert

I would only play Rodriguez centrally, and I see Ramirez and Lambert as better options.

Puncheon should stay on right with Clyne.

Yeah, I wouldn't even consider moving Puncheon to the left, given his chemistry with Clyne.

I think you're right, isn't Mayuka more of a right winger though?

Rodriguez for Lallana seems logical to me.

Book on him before arriving here was that he could play wide on either side. And I wouldn't upset what has been a fantastic partnership even if he was significantly weaker on that side; we shouldn't be changing something that has worked extremely well to accommodate Lallana's replacement.

WHy is everyone so keen to squeeze right footed centre forwards into playing left wing/midfield - it doesnt work!
JRod tried early season - what a disaster that proved to be
Unless there is someone from the U21's ready to step up it has to be either Fox or Reeves

Rodriguez left, Ramirez behind the striker. Rest picks itself. Shaw is a brick wall, him and Morgan will shut off the left - trost me on that. Let jRod attack from wide.

Best at what? Warming the bench? He won't be here this time next season if he doesn't get his act together, I'm sorry to disappoint you Mr. Nice.
I'd play Mayuka, but Nigel will probably play Mr. one goal.

I thought he was gonna be quite a good player for us, but he looks lost every time he comes on the pitch. He has got good movement, but I think he just lacks Premier League quality.

When you think Fulham got Berbatov for 5m and Rodriguez cost us £6m or £7m depends on which sources you read...total waste of money to be perfectly honest here. On the left or up front Jay Rod is useless. Berbatov and Rodriguez is like chalk and cheese really.

Lee or Mayuka. Purely because I want to see more of them. The rest picks itself, as Matt said.

The fact you call him "Mr. one goal" pretty much sums up the validity of your opinion. Playing him on the wing was a disaster but he's looked good every time he's played up front.

Well, he is Mr. One goal. He has looked better playing up front, but nothing special. Never really looked particularly dangerous in front of goal.

Well, Mr. Three Goal With One Incorrectly Ruled Out might be a fairer title! And yeah, he doesn't look completely in tune, anyone'd think he's playing in a new division for a new team without being given a sustained run in the side.
