So our next match is the annual FA Cup tie against Oldham.

Would you prefer us to set up strong and put out the first team to try and hammer them, or do you want to see a weakened side so we can rest key players in a match that we should win (said that last year of course although we are now much more solid and organised defensively)?

I hope they dont beat our players up like last year.

Go strong but rest a few.

Apart from trying to maim our players I thought they deserved it last year as we were utter garbage, which doesn't help when you're faced with that. They've lost a couple of players (Smith) and a manager since then as well.

Don't worry, he'll be in the dressing room/dugout in the oppositions kit as per.

A spot of revenge would be nice after last season.

Think we'll play a strong time but mixed in with some youth. Likes of Toure, Alberto, Aspas etc. will probably play.

We have a thin squad, we need to conserve our energy for the league.

I'd rather see the fringe players get a run out. No disrespect to Oldham in that, but just reflecting the state we are in.

Moses in there because I'd rather not have him playing in the league, Gerrard for fitness, Aspas to finally bag a goal (he did it in the summer). I want to see Ibe and Ilori in action, and Toure to get some playing time (to keep him sharp).

Back up side with maybe Gerrard ford fitness..

Our aim is top 4 and we have many injuries at the moment. I couldn't careless about qualifying for Europa via risking everything to win the FA cup. I'd rather we concentrated 100% on the league especially since we are a thin squad. I don't know much about Oldham, not to be disrespectful but I doubt they play "fancy, passing" football. We don't want to risk the likes of Agger, Lucas and Suarez assuming the underdogs go in to the game hyped up, full of energy with the defense aiming to kick us off the park.

Plus if our youngsters are not up for it and end up loosing: then this pretty much highlights where we need to improve academy wise?

for me its one game a week so pick a good team.

That means dropping johnson cos he was terrible today again. 4 in a row?

    Mingolet
Kelly (why the f didn't he come on today?) toure agger cissohko
Lucas Gerrard alberto (henderson is playing injured)
    aspas Suarez moses

    Just rest sterling.

i mean aside form a signing who would you put in besides say kelly and alberto right now? Ibe? maybe so... rossiter? no too young for that bunch

REMEMBER this is a bunch of hateful mancs and i personally want to see their noses rubbed right in it. I want them beaten home by 6 at least.

finally..... this is the ONLY chance we have for silverware. our home form is good... get a decent draw or some luck to get going in this cup and we can go for it.... lets do that... lets not risk a disaster.
