For me we don't have the players to play 4-4-2 so Id go 4-2-3-1. Im not a fan of Bardsley but he might be just the type of blood and thunder player we need in a game like this, the other reason id have him in is to move Gardner up the field. We need as many players who can score in advanced positions. He'd have one brief if i was boss, shoot on sight. We would also have two attacking options on the bench in Graham and McClean. Rose even if not 100% has to start also even if he doesn't play again this year, this is a cup final in.my eyes.

    ..........................Mignolet..........................
    Bardsley....bramble.....Oshea...........rose
    ...................N'dayie...Colback...................
    Johnson.............Gardner..............Sessegnon
    ..........................Fletcher.............................

I would put Larsson right wing, such a waste having the delivery he can provide being nullified by playing him in the middle. He was moved there against QPR and he put 2 great balls in, which is what we need. Johnson & Sess on those flanks would not provide much for Fletch in the air.

Also Vaughan for Colback, Vaughan is usually at the heart of our great escapes and good performances (West Ham).

I do like Vaughan more than Colback but N'dayie likes to get forward so i think we need someone defensive to sit infront of the back four

    I'd play:

    Mig
    Bardo-Mangane-JOS-Rose
    Seb-N'dayie-AJ
    Sess in a free role
    Fletch-Graham

Need balance, natural full backs will help with this

Only change for me Parker would be sticking Mangane in at the expense of Titus or JOS.
I would also have Mandron & Noble on the bench. That's possibly a bit to alien for MON to understand having forwards on the bench tho.

Atleast well have a striker on the bench in wickham. Anyone see Mangane for the reserves? Might he start?

Seems he was brought in to make the numbers up incase we got injuries. Disappointing because I heard he looked promising in the game before. Any word in Bardsley from that game? im not a fan but he always gives his all and id consider bringing him in at right back to push Gardner into midfield.

Id swap Johnson with sess, other than that, that's the team for me.

Time for change and especially through the middle. Vaughan and Gardener are our best 2 midfielders and should play.

    MIG

    Bardsley, JOS, Cuellar, Rose

    Sessegnon, Gardener, Vaughan, Johnson

    Graham, Fletcher

Westwood, Mangane or Bramble, NDiaye, Colback, Mclean, Wickham and Larsson.

    I agree, more balanced. <ok>

You know when you look at Parkers team, they should be more than capable of giving a game to any team in the league.
They should have more than enough to win tomorrow.
It's time they stood up and be counted, we are running out of games.
I have a feeling it could be 38-39 points to be safe this year.

And a big plus is Larsson is no where near the first team.
If I remember rightly he only managed to hit a Sunderland player ONCE last week playing from the right.
His all round play has dropped off so badly, I honestly think he is a hindrance to the team, meaning we have the equivalent of 10 men on the pitch when he starts.

He's an Oneil type player though as he chases & closes the opposition so will always be around the 1st team.

Agree with the above, we have some great individual players but just don't play well as a team for sustained periods of games.

You know the daft thing Mick?
This morning I watched the Forest Southampton League Cup final from March 79.
It was the worst I remember MON playing he was running about like a headless chicken losing the ball constantly.
Oh and missed a sitter right in front of goal. hahahahaha
Robertson, Gary Birtles and Gemmil saved the day they were immense.
Still amazes me how strong Gemmil was for a littleun.
