    Maybe it's too early to post a team for next season thread, but personally i am already thinking about it quite a bit. Maybe this is because i'm in study leave and have very little to do so others won't be interested just 2 hours after the announcement of our new manager and the fact the euros haven't even started yet, but i for one am intrigued.

    I would reckon that Brendan Rodgers will use his trusty 4-3-3 formation from Swansea on this team and here is how i think this would line up with our squad, including the returning loan players;
    -----------------Reina-----------------
    Johnson----Skrtel-----Agger------Enrique
    -----Gerrard-----Lucas--------(?)-------
    ------(!)--------Carroll-------Suarez-----

    Key;
    ?- Aquilani could be favoured and would certainly be my favourite to play in this position but Adam, Cole and Henderson would also want the role
    !- I can foresee this to be a new signing, The dream would Lavezzi or Cavani, but this is my deluded side coming out and someone like Gaston Ramirez is more likely.

    I can see Carroll being a bench warmer if a striker is signed as he doesn't really suit the Brendan Rodgers way, but the bench would be very strong even without that many signings;
    Reserve palyers; Doni; Carragher; Coates; Kelly; Adam; Cole; Henderson; Maxi ; Kuyt; Downing; Sterling; Shelvey; Spearing; Bellamy

    Well formation (attacking) will be this:

    -------------Reina------------
    ----------Skrtel----Agger------
    Johnson-------Lucas-------Enrique
    ----------Gerrard---[?]-------------
    Bellamy/?-------Carroll/?-----Suarez

    So 3 signings a must, as we thought. Striker, CM playmaker, winger.

    Mate you have my team there. (except Suarez should be playing on the right....Where you have question marks I have Sterling as left forward and Suso in midfield........

    These are the boys and with us having a fresh start i really hope that brendan plays them.....They are more technically gifted that 95% ofd our senior squad....And Suso is awesome at holding onto possession and then playing the killer pass

    I know Rodgers likes to use young players and blood them in early, but I still think Sterling and Suso are far too young for anything except maybe the odd cameo or early round cup game. The 2013/2014 season will be their breakthrough year I feel.

    Also, Aquilani will never play for this club again. 100% certain. He's off in the summer, it's in the best interests of every party.
