With our next game now being the Capital One Cup against Morecambe on Tuesday night (providing the pitch is alright, sounds like this new pitch is ****, blame the concerts is the word on the street) how do we lineup?

    I would go with....

    --------------- Mignolet ---------------

    Laing ---- O'Shea ---- Cuellar -- Colback

    ------- Larsson -------- Catts ---------

    Johnson ------ Sessegnon ----- McClean

    ----------------- Saha ----------------

    subs

    Egan
    Westwood
    Elmohamady
    Knott
    Gardner
    Campbell
    Fletcher

give Laing a chance at full back to gain some experience, I watched the lad in the pre season game at Hartlepool and was really impressed, also get 1 oe 2 of the young lads on the bench for experience before they go out on loan

If we sign anyone else in that time keep them fresh for saturday

Good team. Don't like Catts/Colback (hopefully no more) in the middle together and really think he could make that L/B position his. Also going to be tough for Gardener this year in M/F but looks good at R/B. Save a few quid also.

Got to disagree about Colback at left back. We've pissed about for nearly 4 full years with makeshift left backs and I sincerely hope stories of a new specialist LB signing are spot on.

Colback, like Richardson, isn't and never will be a left back. Just as with Gardener, they can do a job if required but that's all.

Time to stop filling in with bit part players playing out of position and start to make our mark at this level.

I hope we stick a good solid performance in against Morecambe. Our first 3 PL fixtures are now Arsenal, Swans (A) and Liverpool.. Which is tough! Need to get that winning feeling going.
