Gotta be 2nd string, could even afford possibly to play a couple of "real reserves" Wouldnt start ANYONE apart from perhaps Sturridge who may start v Man U My 11 Jones Flanno Carra Coates Robbo Allen Shelvey Sahin Suso Sturridge Ibe
Stags will be out in force for this one. Can't argue with that line-up bar Sturridge, he won't be playing.
No, not going. Didn't want to take a ticket away from a Stags fan that goes all year. Plus, tickets were like gold dust too, people queued in pouring rain from 5pm for tickets that went on sale at 10am the next day! The queue went all way round the stadium too. If it somehow ends in a draw I will be going to Anfield for the replay PS...I can see the stadium from top of my street too, only a five minute walk away.
No idea what the team will be for this fixture, I'm gonna wait till the last minute to make a prediction for this one. Whoever does play though, I hope they show full respect to Macclesfield and not expect an easy win.
My team... -------------Jones Wisdom - Coates - Carra (C) - Robinson ----Downing - Coady - Sahin ---Suso -- Yesil --- Pacheco Bench: Sturridge, Pacheco, Henderson, Reina, Sama
Lets not get carried away.. Agree with others, they (Mansfield) need to be respected like any other team. Play a strong second string, which pretty much is the team you've opted for.. I'd also play Sturridge, give him 60mins, hopefully he'll be able to grab a goal. And, instead of Ibe, I'd play Downing, lets be honest, he's unlikely to play against Man Utd the following week, assuming Sturridge takes his place as part of the front three..
Save him for Man Utd game. Rodgers tends to not play whoever is going to involved in the next game. However, having said that there is a week between games so maybe we will see a few more 'first teamers' in the line-up
I think barring injury the 11 v Yernited will be the same as last night , with Sturridge on the bench
What makes you think it will be Downing that gives way for Sturridge? Sterling's been poor lately and is in need of a rest, he should be being used like Suso's been. Sterling wasn't great last night but he bagged a goal so all is good eh...
Wouldn't argue with that, Downing's is likely to track back and help out his fullback more than Sturridge so I can see him starting against Utd.
least you're honest. Think Downing deserves credit for recent performances but needs to do it for a lot longer yet to convince a lot of people
