-------------------------------------------------1- Heaton---------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------Foster--------Carey------------Fontaine----Wilson------------------------------ -------------------------adomah--------Elliot------------Pearson------- Woolford-------------------------- ----------------------------------------------Baldock------Davies/Stead------------------------------------ I think Carey and wilson need to be played,we need the experience on the pitch in what will be a big crowd and noisy atmosphere. I have gone for Davies to be given a go with Baldock,he looks class and has scored as a sub should be given his first start. IF not then Stead to lead the line due to his experience against a Leeds side that will be right up for it.
Heaton Foster Wilson Fontaine Wilson Morris Adomah Elliott Pearson Woolford Baldock Gone for an extra man in midfield as Leeds will be one of the most attacking teams we will play this year, and think we may need that extra man in midfield to keep them quieter, Crying shame we haven't got Cunningham and Skuse because we need them for this fixture, Also put mark Wilson in over Bryan as i don't think hes quite ready for such a fixture, saying that he did well yesterday and came in against Leicester last year when we we're under pressure, i really don't know my team come think of it, ill just let del decide
Unfortunetely I can not see Stead pushing Taylor out. Taylor is better in the air and holds the ball up better. Stead has the better strike rate but. Baldock will get more chances with Taylor in the team. I would make room for Davies in the midfield somewhere possibly in place of Pearson but it is good when you got these problems. As for Carey I know Wilson had a mare but you won't improve if your dropped all the time. Plus as Banksy says Carey is probably too slow against Leeds forward line. Bryan has impressed me when he plays and you only get experience from playing so would keep him in the team. So my team ............................Heaton........................... Foster/M Wilson...J Wilson...Fountain....Bryan ..........................Elliott............................ Adomah...............Davies...........Woolford/Pearson .................Baldock.........Taylor..................
Shiny, Joe Bryan is more than ready for a game like this - he will turn out to be one of the best products of our accademy for a very long time....
i agree prem, i honestly wouldn't know who to select so im glad i dont have too, Would be great if Bryan impresses in the 2 months he has. Imagine the quality of full backs, Foster and Wilson at RB then Cunningham and Bryan at LB plus we still have edwards waiting in the wings
Big game this prem,we need to continue with another home win, this is a big game, don't know much about Bryan you think he could step up to the plate for this one.
Why not, you don't learn unless you play. He played against Leicester last year when we were struggling and looking at relegation that was a bigger game. This game if we lose we can make up for it, that one time was running out.
No no no we want a win at home,we look great at the moment,we should fear no team after the Blackburn performance.
Our record against Leeds is bloody terrible in the past two years, we've lost every game so even a draw would make a nice change!
Yes, but that was when we didn't have a clue and were easy pickings for anyone and everyone. Different prospect this time...
Del will go with experience,I'm sure of that,I don't think he will go with youngsters in this one. He will want a home win.he won't settle for a point.
It was interesting to see Kilkenny come on against Watford and this seemed to result in much better passing across the midfield - before that Watford had out-passed us in spades. However being ex-Leeds, I cant see Kilkenny getting a look in (plus I dont like him anyway). Joe Bryan played fine, and refused to get pulled out of position, despite one of our own supporters getting on his back for most of the first half. Why do people do that. Of course the lad can hear some comments so what is the barracker hoping to gain? Its just not worth it. He let the Italian winger get the ball out wide and then closed him down. No problems.
I agree Glenn, he had a shaky bit at the start but then gained confidence plus he puts a tidy cross in when he gets to the byline
