Wickham suspended so change is a coming. I think Buckley's involvment in the winner will see him beat Alvarez to a start. I thinl its wise too as we'll need his work rate and pace to keep a track of Elmo down that flank. If Jones is fit id start him at left back. --------------------Pantilimon-------------------- Vergini--------Oshea-----------Brown------Jones --------------------Cattermole-------------------- Johnson------Larsson-------Gomez-------Buckley ---------------------Fletcher----------------------
I'd keep the same team but leep the same defence vs the Mags. I wouldn't rush Jones back given his crockability.
It's funny in that out of all our 'midfielders', the one who is least 'sub-bable' at the moment (for me) is Larsson. Rodders has to step up massively to get near him, which can only be good for both players. I'd be happy to start with Buckley and AJ, or AJ and Alvarez, as Buckley does stretch a game when he comes on as sub. very direct, full of running.
If Giacch is fit he has to at least get a 20 minute run out. Likewise Alvarez always looks threatening when he comes on so a little 30 minute run out for him also. Apart from that the players are all working their socks off with some very nice one touch play as well. Sebs ball to Fletch was sublime yesterday as was Bucko's to Seb.
We meed to put out the strongest team possible as this is a winnable game. If Jones is fit then play him, same with Alvarez and Giac, they should get time on the pitch. Better 3 points against these teams than saving our 'injured' players or being ultra careful with them. If they are fit (Jones) play them. Don't save them for the likes of City.
The point is not to rush anybody back if the team are doing the business, our back four were awesome yesterday with Coates outstanding, very similar to Rev when he came in. I say keep the same back four against Hull and see how they do, if they do well, same again at Man City, would be nice to have Jones back, but all in good time.
We need to go all out against Hull and Villa for the wins. As for City away, anything we get out of that game is a bonus. Then the FA Cup, where I hope we can blood some young uns, and a little break before the dippers turn up.
Be nice to be in a position to use Giaccherini at some point on boxing day. Would love us to hammer a nail into fat heeds coffin.
May as well leave Catts out and play Brids. The useless incompetent c*nt known as Andre Marriner is the ref. He is a complete bell end.
Same one who sent Catts off for **** all down there last season! Same one who refereed against Southampton and mussed the most blatant penalty I've seen? Wonderful
