I would agree, apart from Downing and adam. I would play Hendo and Shelvey. Hendo has been much better than Downing and Shelvey needs games and has actually been more productive in two games than Adam has all season.
I would rather have Hendo on the pitch over Adam, but can see a very similar set up to what you have put.
So would I TBH, but i just think a left foot would be more effective in that position,crossin balls in for Carroll, like Stevie did v Newcastle, but on the other side
Just a thought on the Kompany situation,City will be appealing the red card. However,if the appeal fails he may well face a four match ban having been sent off already this season.This may mean he will miss both legs of the semi final which would be good news for us.I thought he was very good against us last week and is arguably their best central defender.
I'd have concerns with that midfield defensively. Adams tackling is not the best. Gerrards is, but I wouldn't want to loose out on Gerrards attacking skills at any point. But Skrtel and Agger have been in great form. Any way, I think my team would be very good in posession, and Gerrard and Bellamy will create good chances for Carroll.
I think that's about right. Still don't think Adam is good enough defensively or offensively, but only game time will improve this. I would try Bellars on the right and put hendo on the left as i think bellamy can whip a quick outswinging ball in for carroll from the right, and has to float them in more on the left.
Tough one.
