I don't want to jinx things so touching wood, assuming we sign Sess and Munt what would you team be for the Chelski game?? Its a difficult one for us fans as we don't see the guys train and we don't know how fit they are etc.. but I would say go for something like this. Gordon Onouha Bramble Ferdinand Bardo Henderson Catts Muntari Richardson Gyan Sessegnon Tough on Elmo Steed and Zenden who have been excellent recently but I think the above team could be our strongest 11. Like this Ricco can drop onto Cole again. It has the option to go to a 4411 with Sess playing wide left and Ricco dropping in behind Gyan. The great thing about having Elmo, Steed and Zenden on the bench is we have quality to come on and change things. What do you all think?
Like you say vegas its all down to when they sign and how fit they are. I have a feeling Bruce will go with the Blackpool team with Catts in for Zenden and Sess and Muntari on the bench. If he does start them I would go with your team but a formation of.. Gordon Ned..Titus..Anton..Bardo Sess..Hendo..Catts..Muntari Richardson Gyan
You could be righ about Bruce starting the new signings from the bench Syd. One of my favourite SAFC games was the 4-1 win over Chelsea when Phillips and Quinn got 2 goals each. I am even more excited about Tuedays game. Car is back in the garage but my mum is lending me hers so I don't have to get my walking shoes on.
Probably not enough time to bed them in with their new colleagues. Add to that possible concerns about their fitness and I'd have them on the bench and if needed bring them on with 30/20 minutes to go.
I can't see SB changing anything from the last game against Pool, so it's as you were for me The game comes too soon for our new signings, sorry, potential new signings P.S Catts on the bench if fit.
I think the idea of putting Ricco up against Cole again is a must! Lets face it , he's a fantastic attacking full back but when you turn him round things can go your way as Ricco proved last time out against him. Don't think SB would start Sess but if he did, it would surely be in behind Gyan where if he wasnt tracking back then he would have 2 central mids to cover. Apparantly Sess does prefer to play on the right hand side of a front 3, but baptising him first game in over a month against Cole might not be the brightest thing to do !!!
I'm really looking forward to tuesday already, but I have no idea what team we will have out...I definitely think that Richardson has earned his place playing off Gyan, as he looked a different player after his first goal...
