I've completely lost track of who is who and what is what. Can anyone attempt a strongest squad based on who is actually available from our squad ? One thing that is certain, our midfield needs to be strong cos Lampard and Ramirez seem to be up for it.
-----------Chesney Hawkes------------- -Sagna---Koscielny--Vermaelen--Santos- ----------Song-------Ramsey---------- --Walcott-------Rosicky------Oxocube-- ------------------RVP------------------ Bench of: Flappy, Gervinho, Djourou, Diaby, Chamakh, Coquelin, Gibbs I'd have thought. Diaby and Coquelin have only just returned so I'd be stunned if either started.
Man that midfield looks light and the way Ramsey has been playing I think the midfield would get overrun. Coquelin being back is a good thing, maybe too late for this game, think he could've played alongside Song and done a terrific job, or Diaby. A midfield trio of Song, Rosicky and Ramsey will get dominated I fear. Walcott and OXO on the flanks is a great idea, keep Ivanovic and Cole pushed back and make more space for RVP. Defence looks solid, I can see Chelsea sitting back, letting us have possession like they did against Barca then counter attacking with Drogba as the spearhead and pace off the flanks with Sturridge and Mata.
Ivanovic will be banned so I see their back 4 as: --Bosingwa--Cahill--Terry--Cole-- That centre pairing is sloooow. They did do well last night I'll begrudgingly admit.
I think Chelsea will play the following team: Check Blowsingtwat Cahill Cheating Wives Terry Cashley Essien Ramires Mata (or perhaps Malouda) Porridge Kalou Torres
None of you are doing anything to make me feel better about Song, Ramsey and Rosicky in the middle. Creativity is lack of, Chelsea will sit back and let us pass the ball sideways and we have nothing to stop their counter attacks cos Song will go wandering and Rosicky is hardly going to do it ... and as for Ramsey. There must be an ace in the pack somewhere.
