Precisely, if Giaccherini wasnt getting any joy he could swap with Borini. It must be a nightmare especially for full backs and its something we haven't done enough imo. Mourinho will definitely have made adjustments to his approach after seeing us at City. I think he'll look to hit us early with a couple of goals so they can take their foot off the gas and leave plenty in the tank for a.madrid
I'd leave vergini at right back, he is better with the ball than bardsley. I think Larsson earned his place against city and deserves to keep it.
i think the same team that started against city should start this game!! cant keep chopping and changing every game.
i have to say i was impressed with our middle three against city, although toure and silva were out, they did very well.
I like the look of that for the rest of the season, but for Chelsea I'd play the same team, with Giacc coming off the bench again
Thought Larsson did well at City. I'd be tempted to name the same team. All-out attacking subs can come in the second half, eg Giaccherini. Bardsley is awful at the moment but he has a bit more pace to combat Chelsea's forwards so I think I'd just have him over Vergini. Would be happy tho if Gus kept Vergini in.

i would stick with the same squad that started against city and hope they can replacte the performance. gus has chopped and changed all season and bar injuries i would like to see a settled squad for the remaining games. if we can grab a point against chelsea added to the point against city it would be a massive boost going into the run in
This for me but I do worry about Giacci. When he's on song he's great but he's been so inconsistent and doesn't hold shape very well when we haven't got the ball leaving left back exposed. I hope The team has learned the lesson and hits the channels when we are pressed hard on the 30 yard line rather than slavishly sticking to the passing game that's seen Catts exposed at least 3 times and has led to soft goals. We can't keep starting at 1 - 0 in the first 10.
