What team do you think we should play tommorow in the Carling cup against Cardiff. There will probaly be some changes with fringe players getting their chance

    I would go with

    Schmeichel

    Pantsil
    Mills
    St. Ledger
    Ball

    Moussa
    Johnson
    Danns
    Dyer

    Howard
    Schlupp

    Subs

Weale, Peltier, Bamba, Wellens, King, Vassell, Beckford

Also Derek Fazackerley is on the football forum tonight

    Isn't Moussa out on loan?

Regardless, I would put Beckford in there - more games he plays, the more sharper he will be when it really matters.

That teams possibly too light, you never know, if we get through, then we could get a big money spinning home tie.
    I'd have:
    Weale
    Pantsil Mills St.Ledger Ball
    Abe
    Danns Johnson/Dyer
    King
    Beckford Schlupp

Subs: Schmeichael, Berner, Fernandes, Johnson/Dyer, Howard

Give Vassell, Wellens and Bamba a rest

Think we are in a good enough financial position not to need one ;)

I would keep the same back three of Kasper, Mills and Bamba because I think now they're starting to gel I feel the worst thing we could do is break them up again. The only other player I would keep from Sat is Beckford. I think the more games we give him, the more he'll settle in and I feel that once he gets his first goal it could be the trigger for him to carry on getting goals so we should get him that goal ASAP and I think against Cardiff's reserves he'll have a good chance of getting it. Other than that, I agree, rest the players for Sunday's game and give the 2nd string a run-out and a chance to play their way into the 1st team.

I'm also looking forward to seeing Michael Johnson. He's apparently over his knee injury and I think once we get him playing, he'll be a key player and we might just have the best midfielder in the Championship on our hands.

2-0 to us with Beckford and Schlupp scoring the goals.

    Weale.

Paintsil St Ledger Bamba Ball (not to break up Mills getting used to bamba)

    ACADEMY RM Danns Johnson Dyer

    Howard Schlupp

Subs to be used: Beckford for Howard, Oakley if fit for Johnson, Abe.

good game time and a decent line up- if we lose so what!!!!

    Cardiff v Leicester, R3, 19:45
    Leicester OFF Cardiff, R3, 19:45

    WTF does that mean?!

It would be less confusing if they just corrected it, or wrote 'correction'. As it is written, it looks as though the FA reversed home/away on the fixture (or did that actually happen?)
At first glance, I didn't notice the reveral and might have thought the game was OFF!

The game was drawn at the Cardiff City Stadium to whole time. Just the Beeb trying to confuse everyone with their useless research

Is there an argument for fielding a radically different team to the one we'll use on Saturday?

One one hand, I wouldn't want to break the team up too much now they are gelling, but
on the other hand the NP game is much more important so the less Cardiff see of the Sat
    team, the better.

Remember what happened this time last year with Pompey? A win in the cup then a slight touch up on Saturday. Lets hope there is no repeat.

I noticed that a few days ago. Odd. Why didn't they just remove the incorrect information?

The thought provoking thing is our strength in depth now! - We could put out the folowing line-up and it would still be a potentially better team than we have been able to put out for the last two years:

    Weale
Pantsil Ball St ledger Berner (Tom Kennedy)

    Moussa Johnson Danns Dyer

    Howard Schlupp
