I would try something a little different against Blackburn. Beckford hasnt really performed to his standard in the first 3 games. His effort seemed to be lacking tonight according to the radio. Jamie Vardy has missed a few chances but I think he just needs a goal in the league to get him on his way. Andy King has scored 2 goals in 2 sub appearances so he deserves a chance at the weekend. Hopefully Nigel brings in a centre half before then to partner Wes Morgan as Liam Moore has down well but I dont think he is ready yet to play centre half. Maybe Ritchie De Laet moving over could be the short term answer. So here is what I would play Schmeichel Moore De Laet Morgan Konchesky King Danns Drinkwater Marshall Knockaert Nugent Subs- Logan, James, Dyer, Beckford, Gallagher, Schlupp, Vardy, I think we will see Ben Marshall play even better playing just behind the strikers and I think Anthony Knockaert would excel in that role. King and Danns are chip in with their fair share of goals so we know there is goals in that team. I think it will help protect the backline a bit more with a 3 man midfield aswell
Not sure I like playing one striker at home, we should have played that team tonight though. I'd go with your team but drop either Drinky/Danns (I know he was good last season but he just needs to wait for his chance) and keep Vardy. The sooner Vardy gets a goal and puts behind him any doubts than he can't do it at this level, the better.
Similar to that but a different formation for me: Schmeichel De Laet - Moore - Morgan - Konchesky Danns - Drinkwater - King Marshall - Nugent - Vardy With King to play just behind the attacking 3, who would be fluid and interchangeable. Would consider Knockaert as one of the attacking trio but not sure if he's ready to start yet- keep him as an unknown attacking entity to run at defences, and I think Vardy should keep having a run in the team to settle him.
Sounds a very good team to me BUT I´m not to sure NP will want to change things to much, I mean by all accounts we should of beat CAFC last night. We made chances left right & centre, restricted them to about 4 real chances, 2 of which the scored from arrrr & passed the ball about well. The only problem we had was hitting the barn door. Still we are only a point away from automatic promotion
He'll go with 4-4-2 again, Pearsons not brave enough to go 4-5-1 imo Schmeichel De Laet - Moore - Morgan - Konchesky Marshall - Danns - Drinkwater - Dyer Vardy - Nugent What i would like is: Schmeichel De Laet - Moore - Morgan - Konchesky Marshall - Danns - Drinkwater - Knockeart Beckford - Nugent
Schmeichel De Laet - Moore - Morgan - Konchesky King - Danns - Drinkwater Marshall Beckford - Nugent Would do for me - king has got to start
Schmeichel De Laet - Moore (ZW if fit) - Morgan - Konch Drinkwater - King - Danns Marshall Vardy Beckford Subs Logan, James, Dyer, Schlupp, Waggy, Nugent, Anyone remotely defensive
Im suprised Schlupp hasnt been bought on yet, needs to go out on loan really. Kasper De Laet Morgan Moore Konch Drinkwater Danns King Marshall Dyer/Knockheart Nugent.
Why are people persisting with only 1 striker - we were so much better with 2. Also Beckford always was rubbish as a lone striker - saw that last year. I'd have a 442 with Vardy on the left wing so it can turn into a 433 or 4213. ------------------------Schmeichel De Laet - Moore/Whitbread - Morgan - Konchesky -------------------Drinkwater - King ---------Marshall-----------------------Vardy --------------------Beckford - Nugent
schmeichel Moore Morgan Whitbread De Laet Konch Marshall Drinkwater Danns Nugent Beckford/Vardy Might be boring but stability away from home is what we require i think. Three at the back gives De Laet/ Konch oppertunities to go forward. Marshall can be given a more flexible role to cause havoc to defences. Nugent playing off Beckford or Vardy (whichever is in the better form at the time) allowing for quick counter attack with the odd long ball upfield! Obviously if Whitbread isnt ready for 90 mins then either get a CB in on loan or switch De laet/Konch centre and bring on Schlupp/Kennedy at wingback when Whitbread is ready to go off!

Diagram little easier to visualise
Be interesting tonight how Hull get on against Blackburn, hopefully be a stream showing it as I think they'll both be in the mixing pot at the end of the season
Pearson quite often played a 4-3-3 when we finished 5th though didn't he? I know the personnel have almost completely changed (in terms of those who've played so far this season all bar King and Dyer) but surely the mentality hasn't? Sorry I know I'm always larking on about it but I'm just so fed up of the boring 4-4-2!
Seems like Hull parked the bus and tried to counter attack while Blackburn tried to break them down but only managed to after a bit of luck in a goalmouth scramble. Blackburn were booed off at halftime as well - not sure if it was because they were crap or because their fans still hate Kean and the owners but that will affect them if they keep it up. If we score first and turn the already hateful crowd we will have a very good chance.
Blackburn only have 1 striker for Saturday after Colin Kazim-Richards up a knock last night. Their only avalible striker is about 50. Nuno Gomes
That blackburn squad is just so so strong for this division. How they have Kazim-RIchards i dont know. Also, dont under-estimate Nuno Gomes, type of striker that could terrorise Liam Moore.
Big Wes will pick him up On the defender front both Zak Whitbread and Sean St. Ledger have stepped up their training. Both should be back after the international break
