Massive game for us this weekend with us badly in need of a point if not all 3, Bruce has some hard decisions to make with regards to the line up with Mensah possibly out for the season, Richardson limping off at half time and Ferdinand picking up yet another hamstring injury.

If I was Brucie I would go with...

    ------------------------ Mignolet ----------------------

    -- Elmohamady --- Onuoha ---- Turner ----- Bardsley --

    Sessegnon --- Henderson ------ Cattermole - Malbranque

    ------------------ Gyan -------- Welbeck --------------

    subs:

    Ferdinand (if fit) / Angeleri
    Gordon
    Muntari
    Zenden
    Richardson (if fit) / Riveros
    Colback
    Noble

    going for a 1-1 draw

Would like to see Noble given a chance alongside Gyan which would mean moving welbeck to the wing.

We really need to go for this one and if we lose I think Brucies time must be almost up. Going for a 2-2 draw with Bardo equalising for us late on.

I agree with most of that team Poolie, although I feel Brum's midfield is very strong and sterdy, which are 2 words that do not describe Henderson when he is playing in the centre. So I would be tempted with Muntari instead of Henderson.

I though Zenden looked decent there when he came on Saturday and he seems up for the fight so maybe give him a start

    Hail dansafcman!

Finally another man that realises we're gonna get NOWHERE if we continue with these right footers on the left wing. I'd go with Dan's team exactly. I'd be confident of finally seeing an attractive footballing performance for once with that team. It'll be Bardsley at LB and Malbranque at LW and another loss, however. Cheers Bruce.

    drunken-safc,

Lovely team. I believe this would suit Henderson and Muntari and we'll finally have some contribution to attacking football from the full back area. If Bruce goes with this against Brum, i'll be expecting an impressive performance!

Give's us balance and players playing in their own positions.
Why is it always round pegs in square holes for us?

whne we are defending Henderson and muntari can tuck into the centre and when we are going foward we would have great balance as you said.

Will we ever get to see it in action though?
Why o why do we persist with playing people out of position, we have the players, lets use them.

Because they could be trying to recreate what we were like prior to the bad run.

Welcome to the board by the way!

This is the team and formation that I posted on the "We should keep Bruce" thread the other night.......

    Mig

    Bardsley......Turner......Onuoha......Ricco

    Catts

    Elmo...................Muntari

    Sess

    Gyan......Welbeck

This is assuming everyone is fit to start.

We may as well try the diamond formation, we've tried everything else!!!! :emoticon-0107-sweat Trouble is, the full backs must get forward when playing diamond. No start for Henderson, because against Birmingham we need people to put their foot in!

well im sticking to a team suggested by quillips

    mig

    bardo, ned, turner, ricco

    sees, catts, steed, wellbeck

    noble, gyan

can't believe how many want sess, jordan and muntari, straight away, considering these have been the downfall since jan.

also a few of u have put jordan in c/m after weeks of stating he's a r/w??????????
