No doubt wholesale changes for Saturday. I think we might go with Jak Taylor Bruce Harry Tymon Elmo Meyler Huddlestone Maloney Powell Diamande
SB told Burnsy he might be on the bench, but from the sounds of it he won't start as he hasn't played for 6 weeks due to them having a mid season break in Poland.
If Taylor starts at full back, I'm not bothering watching, he's been utterly ****e there on every occasion and I doubt Powell will start.
Can't see Tymon playing this one. I can understand the need to rotate so happy enough with whatever team but I really hope we give them a game. I know we're very likely to lose but I desperately want to a) beat these ****s and b) continue the cup run. I love a cup run me. Losing on Saturday will bother me more than losing tonight would have.
cant see the point in playing Junior, he's not even making the bench now - we were a Premier League side when his dad gave him a three year contract -now were in the Championship he's not considered good enough even when he's fit
Although it would be great to turn Arsenal over the key games are the Ipswich and Sheff We'd games the following week. SB needs to pick the team for the Ipswich game first & then make sure that none of them are involved against Arsenal.
It seems a little odd that you're attempting to use this occasion to peddle your hatred for Bruce Junior, given that no one is suggesting the XI will be picked on merit and the whole idea is to rest/protect the key players. Taylor, Maloney and Tymon don't make the bench either.
If Tymon was playing, I doubt he'd have played 90 minutes for the U21's this week, I think Bruce might fear Arsenal are a step too far for him.
It would be great experience for Tymon and good for his confidence and development but unless we're throwing the towel in and making wholesale changes I'd rather see Robbo start. McGregor Dave Harry Davies Robbo Meyler Huddlestone Elmo Powell Maloney Hernandez Or drop Powell for Diomande or Aluko
Maybe we'll nick it... http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/article/powell-to-make-debut-at-arsenal-2960189.aspx?
I'm not too bothered if we go out at this stage. The further we go the more of a fixture backlog we get and cramming more games in could damage our chances of promotion which has to be priority.
