Today we saw our first game, and first victory. Much to be said now that we finally have a basis for analysing our squad so in the poll above let's see what shape our club is in before transfer windows close.

Multiple choice is allowed if you feel more than one area has equal needs, but please only select those which have that highest need to strengthening :)

Im good with who we have but if push came to shove , a defensive midfielderi. Taylor had a rough game today but hes better than that . Rangel also played good . Tiendalli is all I need for both positions' cover . After seeing Amat , and if Fernandez comes CB is good . Keepers are good . Ki and Britton are good enough for defensive midfielder but Id like to see Ki play up a bit more if he continues to play hungry , never thought he could play hungry . Montero , Dyer and Routledge are good enough out wide Shelvey and Siggy are very good in the middle, Ki can play there also Strikers ,If Bony stays , holy **** , but if he doesnt Gomis and Emnes are fine . We have the team pretty well imo , in place . It mostly depends on what Monk can do with them ... good start !!

I choose LB and AM because we use Shelvey in CM and DM, what will happen if Siggy is injured? Are we going for Gomis and Bony in a 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1?

I don't like the idea of losing our only real AM of quality :(

I've gone for LB and RB. Angel not getting any younger and Taylor needs some serious match time. Tiendalli not the answer for me though played well today.

If we get Fernandez, as looks likely, we'll be fine at cb.

Goalkeeper is OK too as we can use Tremmel in the cups and Fabianski was good today. Midfield I think we're OK abnd have options but would say that if Bony goes we're in serious do-do up front.

DM & RW mainly but another LB would be nice.

(Benjamin Stambouli) DM - Cover for Leon while he's hurt and one for the future. This also gives Monk the ability to play Ki in a more advanced position...
(Modou Barrow) RW for a bit of flexibility while Fulton and Emnes are hurt... Young an inexpensive.
(Timothee Kolodziejczak) LB - if we have money left over..

I've assumed that Fernandez is a "done deal".

I would sign a left back (Taylor needs competition), defensive midfielder to challenge/be back up for Leon and a winger.

Last season, we had Dyer, Routs, Pablo and Lamah, with JDG also picked on the wing by Monk. Three of these have gone, with only Montero brought in. With our playing style, we need 2 wingers - a couple of injuries or suspensions could leave us short.

If Ki is allowed to play as he did yesterday - DM with a partner who understand each other - I'd prefer him to remain deep. Ki & Shelvey worked well together but Jonjo, for me, is a bit loose with his passing and tries too many speculative long passes, he also gets drawn into confrontations too easily.

LB essential - Taylor has played better but yesterday wasn't exceptionally poor by his standards (my opinion) and he has a petulant streak as we saw yesterday that can get us into trouble. Tiandelli seems good cover at RB or LB.
