It has come to my attention that there are a lot of novice poker players frequenting this site. As it is the season of goodwill, I will offer some of my professional advice. 1) King, Queen rules in the land of the un-raised pot!! 2) AK is not as good as it looks!! 3) Never slow play bullets!! 4) In MTT's, Only a fool goes all-in pre-flop early doors!! 5) Suited connectors are raising hands not calling!!
I agree with all of this apart from slow playing bullets, if there only 2 other players who have not raised in the pot I will occasionaly (but not always) slow play them. AA never guarantees a win on it's own but sometimes i'll slow play until the turn card and I'm not afraid of folding them on the river if someone goes all in or makes a massive raise.
Very good advice - fold very slowly until you're out and you've had value for money Dev - only problem with slow play against the blinds is you can never be sure of what they have - especially against 2 players. Rather win the blinds with AA than lose to 2 pair that shouldn't be in the flop!!
**** game that gets stretched over 12 hrs,,,,,,,, 5 ,16, 23 neighbours by 500? for a £75,00 bet you can win £525,00 if 5 pops in...... In seconds
Quite often when a pot is raised pre flop, most fold. But sometimes you'll find a person who is ultra aggressive and raises like crazy. If AA comes, it can pay to just let him run, like a fish on a hook.
