Because there's a long break to the much awaited Boro game, I made this a seperate thread. If the article is correct, or close to the truth, then I disagree with so many changes. All TC has done is continually tinker with the team after a loss, he even changed the formation we used when we beat Bristol City, he's tinkering, not repairing and not fixing the problems at hand. I agree with some changes, but not up to 9. Ayling benched and Berardi back at RB. Phillips out and Klich in. O'Kane rested and Cibicki or Dallas in. We're losing it in midfield with Phillips and O'Kane. I don't think Phillips and O'Kane is a beneficial partnership for the team, which is why I was reluctant to drop O'Kane, but did to give another pairing the chance to excell. The 3 AM's of Hernandez, Saiz and Alioski was working, and working well till TC started tinkering with it, how he can't see that is bewildering. All 3 have an eye for a pass when on form, and we've seen what Lasogga can do when given proper service. I think Lasogga is a few pounds overweight and not quite up to scratch on his fitness yet, but he's a much better option than Grot or Roofe. Question is, who do we ut at LB. Dallas can play LB, but can he maintain full concentration for 90 mins or more? My team for Boro game would be, ................Lonagren.......... Berardi..Jansson..Cooper..Dallas .....Klich...............Cibicki..... ............Hernandez......... Alioski........Lasogga.......Saiz Hernandez is at his best playing from middle, he's a play maker, has an eye for a pass and makes good defence splitting passes, players need to be in sync with him. Saiz, we've seen him on left, and he scored 2 goals from that position. He also makes good passes and crosses and can cut inside with benefits and can score. Alioski, I too would feel disgruntled at being subbed all time when the problem is in midfield and not on wings. He has the skill, makes good crosses, can get around defenders and can cut inside as well as score. We need to take more edge of the box shots and stop trying to walk the ball into net all time. Lasogga, given more service from midfield and Hernandez and co can be a menace to any defence. He's not quick off the mark so passes need to be more accurate. TC mentioned in his post Brentford interview that the players weren't playing for him....question is WHY? has he noticed that and not the other problems. Could it also suggest he may have lost the dressing room? What do the players think when TC doesn't talk to them after every loss?....which seems to be TC's procedure. Over too you. https://www.footballinsider247.com/report-christiansen-make-major-changes-defeat-brentford/
I read the article a couple of days back, Elland discussed it in yesterday's good morning thread too That starting 11 has about much chance of taking to the field as I have
Get ya kit ready Ristac, you're playing. You might be right, I didn't say it would be the team, but please feel free to post what team you'd like to see take the field...
