Sounds like a non-story to me. How on earth can it go to arbirtation? He's contracted to us, ergo we call the shots. It's not an industrial dispute to be settled by ACAS, for goodness sake.

He is OUR PLAYER. We decide. End of story. :headbang:

I am lost on this one and hope it's sorted out soon...

Is it the press, spinning things?
Is it the Agent thinking about bucks?
Is it Taylor just really wants to go?
Is it Newcastle trying to bully us?

If he really wants to go, then i'd rather him go... If it's Newcastle trying to bully us, then stand our ground... (although I can't see this issue being pursued so much if the player was happy to stay......)

This only the PL need to do is revoke this idiots licence.
Surely he is in breach of it by trying to get his client out of a signed contract without the clubs consent.
Also are Newcastle tapping him up?

On planetswans his agent Jamie Immorally says: "It is slow progress at the moment but at the same time it needs to be resolved because the lad is in a very delicate position ."

Tell you what, his agent and Taylor will both be in a delicate position if they come face-to-face with any Swans fans at the moment...

I can understand the depth of feeling over this but exactly what is the point of having a buy-out clause in a contract if no one knows about it? It has to be in the public domain for the thing to be actioned.

sounds like dispute is about whether clause actually allows him to go for 1 million or just talk to other club for 1 million. Taylor must really want to go by forcing it through to PL panel. easy to blame it on agent but if taylor does not want to go he could refuse to through with it. i say we get as much as we can for him and get rid even if its only 1 million. i said all along last year he was our weakest link anyway. undoubted potential but nowhere near prem standard at moment. and even if he does stay LB is the position we need to strengthen at the most, in my opinion.

iv said it before and ill say it again....get rid of tailor we dont need a player who wants to leave for greed, he was a non league player just a year ago and we have given him his break, he obviously dont care about that and i dont want a player forced to play for us when he dont want to, its not good for moral and we know that some fans will give him stick that will unsettle the players on the pitch, its going to be a tough season without all this rubbish, forget blaming his agent as he is only doing his job at the end of the day under the instruction of tailor. all this let him rot in the reserves rubbish dont do anyone any good....get shot of him asap as i think he is biting off more than he can handle moving to a massive club like the toon and when he is dropped because he is not up to it then he will be sorry that he has not walked before running by learning his trade under Brendan......let him go we dont need him as there are far better out there..

He's obviously wants away and this is starting to get farcical now so let him duck off we shouldn't want a player who is'nt 100% commited to the club.

I agree. Too many people blaming the agent when it seems obvious that Taylor wants to leave.

It's not a non-story at all. There is a dispute about the contract and so it is going to arbitration. It will then be decided what the contract really means.

The agent doesn't appear to have broken any rules, so there are no grounds to revoke his licence. He is just representing Taylor. It is Taylor, not the agent, that has written to the PL (according to the BBC report). If you have evidence that teh agent has breached any rules then please tell us and also report the matter to the PL.

In matters such as this the agent and player are synonymous, they act as one unless the agent engages in misconduct contra to the interests / desires of the player. In other words, it doesn't matter who filed for arbitration with the league, it's been filed.

This is now out of hand. I find it difficult to believe that reasonable people acting in good faith cannot look at a clause in a contract determine what it means unless the language is so ambiguous as to be unreadable; which I find hard to believe. After all, I am sure that this is one element of the contract that would be been specifically asked for by the player / agent, discussed by club and agent, and spelled out to the player by the agent prior to signing - it's not an insignificant thing. And the language in the contract cannot be that legalistic and convoluted because, and let's face it, your average footballer is not the sharpest knife in anybody's draw, and critical things should be stated in plain and simple terms so that those players that represent themselves can read the damn thing and understand it.

I can't help thinking that, unless he is a real bone-head, Taylor is being mis-informed and ill-advised. Per the latest "quotes" in the media, Newcastle are not prepared to pay any more than 1M; which is such a ringing endorsement of Taylor and an under-whelming statement of his value to them. Meanwhile, he and his agent are out there burning down the bridge between him and the Swans. Never a good idea to burn down a bridge when you're standing on the wrong side of the ravine and I am thinking he's standing on the wrong side of this one.

Taylor has the same agent as Ashley Williams, and we have never had a problem with Ashley or his agent, so that leaves Taylor, it's my view that this is all down to Taylor, the guy is a sandwich short of a picnic, and will be history in next to no time, get rid of the idiot!..............

    Agreed Phil!

If he wants to go, sell him. Sod the guy, if he really is behind this stink that's been kicked up then we don't need him, we need committed players who want to be here.

I can't but feeling, though, that this Moralee guy just sees it as a quick buck. Any of his other clients had moves recently? Maybe he's close to re-mortgaging the house...

I agree, get rid of the little S***. Taylor doesn't want to play for us so grab the money and run, then invest in a quality left back.
