This will be interesting to see how he does. We have a number of ex-City players playing in the Scottish Prem who did nothing for us, but are doing well up there. Ryan Kent as an example, one of the '65 awful signings', yet being touted for a move to Leeds for more than £10Million....
Supcon72 You'll have to ask Junior why he didn't select Kent for City. You're right though, another costly mistake by Junior.
Probably because he was **** when he played, if there was not end stands he would still be running up to either Bedminster down or Hotwells before he decided to pass the ball. Anyone who watched him would not have picked him. His head was not in it to play for us.
To be fair he was useless for us, a greedy self-centred so and so who thought he was to big for little ole Bristol City and LJ lost patience with him. The Scottish league is a joke, I recall Lee Miller could barely score for us in the 3rd tier, he moved back home and scored for fun at Aberdeen and got into the national team.
This is one for me that was an Ashton deal, he was so desperate to set up ties with the big clubs he would pay anything. It’s clear LJ didn’t want him. Funny how he’s criticised in here for not standing up to MA, yet over Kent it appears he did, and now he’s charged with wasting money….. The double standards.. For me it still all comes back to SL allowing MA a free reign. The money only started flowing once he joined the club, he controlled who came and went, but SL should have reigned him in, so he’s highly culpable in my book.
More wages saved, hopefully a new player up front this next few days. A good goal scoring forward, missed out on Ronaldo!
Again you're correct. The only league and club Junior played in not managed by his father. And when Kilmarnock Madrid booted him out he had to retire aged 31. Have a word with your alter ego, he raves about Junior winning a Scottish Cup medal, albeit from the subs bench.
Just off of the top of my head, whose signings were these? Eliasson Walsh Adelakum Eisa Engvall Duric Palmer Szmodics None of them were ever really given a proper chance and there is quite a long list of foreign players brought in and never heard of again, one particular season including loaners we brought in close to 30 players, who were they down to? It just reenforces my view LJ should have been stronger before signing his 2019 4 year contract, instead of just taking the money.
