" Taylor, who is understood to be the club’s highest-earning player on around £10,000 a week, is out of contract at the end of the season. " According to TWTD. Not sure I believe this for one second. Considering the ridiculous losses we're making per season I think Phil is waaayyyyy off the mark on this. Also, McGoldrick and Mings signing new deals. McGolrick would have moved to £30,000 a week I'd imagine should he have moved in late August to complete the Leicester deal, so I find this a little off! If this was the case, how are we making such ridiculous yearly losses!? You could say all of the 22 first team squad are on £10,000 p/w ( £500,000 p/year ) x 22 = £11 mill. Then we have the club revenue / sales of players etc.......... So we cannot be losing £11 mill a year if this was true. Also, clearly not all of the 22 man squad are on £10,000 a week! I'd love to know where Phil/TWTD gang get some of their " info " from!
I can see your logic Westy but one thing we don't know is how much ME is charging the Club in interest on that debt, remember this is the man that bought our £36M debt for £6M and then charged interest against the full £36M. I would have thought somebody worth a reported £400M + at the time and a supposed Town fan could have just charged us for what he actually spent and wrote the rest off, a charitable institution he aint and Town were in no position to refuse, makes you think doesn't it.
well taking into account my maths - you can add the £400,000 for agents so based on 22 players being on pay with Taylor who is " apparently " our top earner on £10,000 p/w that's £11,400,000 rough expenditure p/year. Then income = Season tickets/ gates/ merchandise/ Tv money ( over £1 mill ) etc etc ) players sales !!!! Even if Evans is charging interest there's no way he's charging £7 mill etc otherwise he wouldn't be incharge of our club.
If hes charging only 3 % per annum on £100M that takes care of £3M, and did he add the £6M to the £36M so our debt immediately became £42M?
Ever the likeable sage Weighty! In my life, I try avoid lawyers, accountants, Doctors/hospital and the taxman. As it happens, I have had surprisingly favourable experiences with all the above over the past 4 weeks!!
