At what point in the season do we hope/expect to see any improvement from Falcao - we're well past the 'returning from injury' stage, the same for 'settling into a new side' and 'adapting to the PL'. In short, the guy simply isn't the same as he was prior to his injury and (unless we have been stuffed by Mendes to sign Falcao on a pemanent deal or lose De Gea) the guy should go. Restore Rooney to the attack and adapt the midfield to include Fellani, Mata or Herrera as required and hopefully RVP and Rooney can start putting away some of these missed Falcao chances that are beginning to cost us crucial points.
I was looking forward to seeing him in the PL, but he's been a massive flop so far. Looks a husk of the player that we saw at Porto and Madrid. Seems certain he'll toddle off in May.
That's the risk taking on a player whose had bad injuries. For every RVN there tends to be at least double the amount of players that struggle like Hargreaves and Shevchenko. Luckily for United it is only a loan and he'll be bombed out to Russia in the summer.
Hargreaves did more than Falcao or Shevchenko tbf. His injuries stopped him playing but every time he put on a United shirt his performances were always top drawer. Falcao has not lived up to expectations but there is an argument that we arent playing to his strengths. He's not being given great service and even the slow build up which have allowed organised defences to sit back, hasnt played to his strengths. And one big factor in that is our narrowness and poor wing play which traditionally we used to create space for our attacking mf and forwards. And that simply isnt happening.
Going back a while, I said that he isn't the player he used to be and that is why Monaco loaned him to you. All I got from some on here was FFP. Granted, FFP came into it but do you really think that Monaco would loan him out if he was the player of old? The answer is NO. Wake up and smell the coffee.
