I seriously hope that Forest do make an offical approach and Cotterill accepts the vaccant managerial position there.

His tactics are poor, his excuses for losing are even worse, and his win ratio is awful (2 wins in 20 is it now?).

Keep him in charge, we will be down by Christmas. I appreciate what he managed to do for us last leason, but quite frankly this season he has been incredibly below par.

And, if it's true that he has spoken with Forest already, then maybe it's best that he goes now anyway - if his heart was at Pompey, he would tell Forest he's not interested.

I've not been one of the Cotterill Out camp up to now and am still pretty much 'on the fence'. However, with a very important game coming up on Saturday - the sort of game you have to win at home to keep the wolves from the door - I'm very concerned as to the preparation prior to this fixture. If SC has one eye on the game and the other on the City Ground, it can only have a detrimental effect as far as I can see.

From a cynical point of view, if SC does expect to get the Forest job, what result at Fratton Park will best suit his purposes [as Forest manager]?

Have to say I am with jake on this one.........have fully appreciated SC's efforts under more than trying times, but our form this season is appalling for what looks to be one of he strongest squads in the league! Yes we may be short on a few bodies, but come on, some of the individual players abilitys should be mind blowing.............

If indeed he has had a meeting of some description, then it could only have been with permission of the club.............and if that is the case, maybe the writing was already on the wall as far as our owners were concerned? after all....................he did get their vote of confidence a few weeks back........or should i say the kiss of death!

I just hope that, if there are goings on behind the scenes, to which we are not privy, the club already has a permanent replacement lined up. The last rthing this club needs is another short term managerial merry-go-round. It's bad for morale [players and fans]. It's bad for player performance, it's bad for the business and would put the club on course for League One, or even, as in the late 1970s - worse!

With all due respect could you get anyone better? And even if you could what about the few or many games without a proper manager inbetween? And then the bedding in time for the new manager?
