    MARRIAGE ALLOWANCE LUMP SUM
CLOCK IS TICKING for lump sum about 14 days next year paid in increments...

Even if you are retired but work you can get it .don't know if 2 on pensions would, but try it
working and wife works one of you earns less than 10.600 the other over you get it
don't know if one works (over £10600) and the other doesn't if you get it but worth a try
takes less than 5 mins to "earn" £212 toward next seasons ticket!

Well JGF I used to think you were an eccentric genius (or was it just eccentric?) but it appears I was successful with my application. Thanks
You can get Marriage Allowance tax allowance if

    • you and your partner were born on or after 6 April 1935
    • one partner’s income is between £10,601 and £42,385
    • the other partner’s income is less than £10,600
