I know some people dont agree with tattoos and I realise that some peoples reasoning behind getting one can be idiotic (e.g. I wanna look hard, my mate has one, They are Ubercool etc ). However, my reasoning for getting one is that I appreciate it as a form of art (when done right). My own personal tattoo is representative of my religious beliefs and consists of an amalgamation of portraits done to a very high standard. Its not your run of the mill black panther or skull with flames coming out of it, its a genuine work of art. I did not get this tattoo in an obvious place and it cost me a lot of money. So why did it get it if nobody else can see it? I got it for me, for my own personal viewing pleasure, for my love of art and its link to religion!
Yeah one on each arm one my back and one on my stomach. Ain't had one for a few years though It's definitely addicting
I was always going to get one when I was a teenager but never got round to it. Thank God I didn't because they're just an extension of ned culture these days.
I've got one on each arm, one on my back and one on my chest. They're all of personal significance though, I wouldn't get one just for the sake of it.
Thats what I mean, neds get them to look like the ****s they are But I waited until I was old enough to appreciate it as a form of art and not just a stupid teenage mistake
I've a big **** off cross on my left shoulder. Which is a bit awkward because I've since become an ardent atheist please log in to view this image
Same with me, a big cross with "Protect our son" in Latin inscribed underneath. But "God" didn't really listen, so I'm also atheist
For most of my tattoos done 40 years ago when you never saw a female in a tattooist . Think there was only half a dozen colours if that . There was a group. Of us hung about the monte Carlo cafe in Hull and we got alot ad the same tattoos. Especially on hands . Don't notice iv got them most of the time. You can tell the old x footy hooligan , fisherman from Hull by the stars on there hands. Id take em all off if I could and start again as the tattoos they do now are works of art and look amazing
I've only got two tats (they both have personal significance) and would get more but #prepares for bashing off Gambol#, the missus doesn't like them. I think tats can be stupidly tacky (saw a bird in Paisley pushing a pram with a big pawprint on each titty - looked like she'd been raped by a panther) but, if they're done right, can be sexy as ****
