Afternoon Saints, hope you're all well. Sunderland fan here in peace.

Quick question for Fantasy Football purposes if you lads wouldn't mind hlping out...

I notice young Matty Targett has started your last couple games in the league... Are you expecting that to continue or is it just to cover injuries or something? With the way our FF works if I put him in he has to stay for the rest of the season so any help would be much appreciated!

Best of luck for the rest of the season (except when you play us.... come on, you know we need more the points more desperately...)

 

Targett playing after Ron changed our formation. I expect to see that happening more often as it works. Not sure he will play every game though....your guess would be as good as mine.

 

The other thing to remember is that with our new 3-5-2 formation he plays as a wing-back rather than full back.

 

I don't see us stopping playing 3-5-2 anytime soon and that's good news for Targett because only he or Bertrand is really suited for the wide left role and Bertrand is playing so well as the third centre back that we're unlikely to drop him there for Yoshida.

The only risk is that if we change back to a flat back four then he'll be the first to go.

Could prove to be a bit of a FF bargain as I expect he is one of the cheaper defenders in the game.

 

If you will be stuck playing him for the rest of the season, then I wouldn't pick up Targett.
