After nearly four years on a lucrative 2.3 million Euros a year 5 year contract Adel finally made his debut for Benfica as a 71st minute sub on Sunday. Benfica recently changed their coach and the former 'B' team coach took over and having previously played him with the 'B' team is willing to give him a chance. Once again it's up to Adel...

I wish him the very best, he gave us one of the best seasons I remember, hopefully he can mature a little in what must be the twilight of his career and put a little of his creativity under control and use it, that’s what it was given to him for after all

A wasted talent as he didn't have the correct attitude.

6 posts so far. We've all moved on it seems. He thought he was tomorrow's back page headlines when in fact not even yesterday's chip wrapper. Unless he actually does something notable such as scoring a Cup or League title winning goal why bother even to check on what he is up to now. Criminal waste of his talent.

Oh well. Forgiven. Being a QPR fan does involve regular self beating up and humiliation so a bit of transporting yourself to a past time wen we were all happy* is definitely recommended therapy.
I loved watching him but he never grew up and never wanted to be here after that first season back in the PL. If it were otherwise he would have made an effort when the conman who had blighted his career was forced out. By that stage anyone with two brain cells would have realised that he had some work to do and ground to make up but not him

    * Except for those muppets who jumped on every opportunity to jump on his back and revert to full- blown miserable type.
