Carl really should stick to organising trips on the Battle Bus with his good friends from you know where. The thing is with his column is this. Its not worth ripping up into tidy squares and sticking it on a nail in the SHYTEHOUSE.

Agree Aber, dont think Carl is old enough to have been part of the mini bus brigade. Can remember going to Lincoln City on a really cold January afternoon, had to hide our beer in a hedge on the way in, after the match the fog was so bad we never found the spot. Ce la Vie. Good times though. I think we lost that one 3 - 2, at least some farmer got drunk at our expense.

I remember on a trip to Leeds in the early 80's, must have been then, cos we were singing 'Is your sister still alive' due to the yorkshire ripper still being at large !! Left this youngster in the services, thing was the Bebb bus driver took the wrong turning on the way home and we ended up in Milton keynes ! The coppers caught us up, gave the driver a bollocking and handed the 15 year old back. Got back to Caerphilly town centre at 4.30 in the morning. Next BEBB trip after that was to Vienna and we were on the bus for well over 30 hours on that journey. You would like to think i should have learnt my lesson from the Leeds trip.

Anyway back on subject. Carl is still a Twat...

Went to Leeds for the 3rd round FA Cup in 1975, with Mair Daniels (Ader Glas Caerdydd). Yorkshire police moved our buses without us knowing.

Walked right into an ambush, bruises took over a fortnight to disappear, and we lost 4-1 Derek Showers was our scorer.

Used get on at Porth (Lewis Merthyr Club) normally full before we got to Ponty but picked a few up at times. There was a chap we called Squid and 2 brothers (may have been twins) from either Tylorstown or Pontygwaith 5 foot 5" tall and 5 foot 6 broad proper nutters.

Used to go to AGC meetings in the Rose & Crown up the Graig in Ponty, they were mental, used to end up paying more for broken classes than beer.

I think that was one of my last trips with them, started taking my car to away games, remember going to Posh, 5 of use in my Ford Cortina we stayed the night there some good banter with the posh boys (and Girls) a great night at the ex-serving mens club.

Ok he has a point when it comes to how the team is run on the field and who the manager wants on his staff but Tan has put a lot of money into the club and from where he comes from then he expects to have a say in every part of cardiff city. Its his club in his eyes and he can do what he likes which is true but i do agree that the football side of the club should be left to the manager and his staff....after all it is the manager and his staff who are in the firing line when the club is not doing well and he can be sacked. tan cant..

Thanks for the input Dai but the thread is more to do with CCs poor reporting style than VT actually running the club his way. Valid points all the same.

I don't know what to make of anything Carl writes in the rag, or what he, Annis and the Tan Out Bluebird Unite obsessors write on their board. It's all gone a bit stale now - apart from the noisy minority of mainly internet troll youngsters are most people really that interested in what they have to say any more? Now that some of their most doom and gloom predictions from a few weeks ago haven't materialised it must be difficult for them to find a reason to exist in their old form - a bit like Trotskyites and tank-tops, they've probably had their day. Oh - and advice for Annis before he writes his next book: learn the difference between 'of' and 'have'. God, I'd hate to be his proof reader - it must be a full-time and weekends job.
