    Tampa Bay rule!

I thought there ought to be a thread, devoted to the mighty Buccs.

    All are welcome.

Tough game tonight, at home to the Colts (anyone staying up, to watch on ESPN?), but the team is starting to play well, after the loss in week one to Detroit, who seem unstoppable at the moment, (jolly good luck to the Lions too).

It would seem, that the play offs are a distinct possibility this year and, if the team progresses smoothly, sensible draft picks etc; I think they could win it all, in a year or two.

    What say you, fellow Buccaneers?

Tampa played sloppy, made mistakes and still came out with a win. That's exactly what you want from your team, the ability to find the win even when they are not playing well. Young team with lots of talent andd I have really been impressed with the Bucs so far.

I just wish the Titans had kept Blount, I always thought we should have kept him over Ringer in the end.

All the best for your playoff push!

    Thanks guy!

Do you support the Titans as an underdog, new (relatively!) franchise type of thing, or is there a greater connection for you? I got into gridiron when it became really popular in the eighties in the UK. South Coast Sharks were my local team (Bognor Regis, doesnt have the same ring does it?) I needed a team to support and the Tangerine Dream fitted the bill. I still have a white and orange baseball cap from those days and my Superbowl winners T-shirt make them two of my most prized possesions.

You are right too, about LeGarrete, he is a monster of a back!
Josh Freeman is destined for greatness too, I only hope he achieves it at Tampa!

Good luck for the Titans too, I shall note their progress with interest.

Ah I'm from Tennessee originally so it's local pride at stake for me! But even as underdogs I always have pretty high hopes, I think we have a good unit working out there.

My problem is how hard it has been to watch games as I live in England, Portsmouth fan too incidentally ha, but I wish I could catch more games in full.

Thanks for the interest in keeping up with the Titans, my girlfriend has a soft spot for Tampa so I usually keep current with them, we are going to the game at Wembley between Tampa and Chicago in a couple weeks! Originally was going for the Bears for the history but you know what I'll switch allegiance for the Bucs this time ha, good luck for it!

    Hooray!

Have a great day. I wish I could go too, but my job prevents that, sadly. Three hard games in a row, @SF then NO, culminating with the match up with the Bears, in London. It would be all the better, if this game was an away fixture, which it is, all but statistically!

If we ever get a London Franchise I would probably support them too, but not if it was a franchise move, from the US. Not even the Buccs, unless they bring the Pirate ship with them. That, for me, is one of the coolest things in the whole NFL!

If you get the time, come and spend some of it, on the Pompey board. We need the numbers! You will be most welcome.

I frequent the Pompey board but I never really post, I just cant stand wumming. I don't mind if its good-natured banter, just seems there can be some right idiots at time! But I might be a bit more active, couldn't hurt I suppose!

And last time my girlfriend went to the states she went to see Tampa play and she loved the pirate ship, definitely an inspired idea there ha!

God almighty, what happened against SF? I started watching on redzone but I just couldn't take it anymore, after it got above 25.

That 49er-Lions fight afterwards was something! I think someone got a bit annoyed they lost...

And good win against the Saints, I can very much appreciate that at least one Saints team has been beaten ha.

It was disrespectful, the way Harbaugh slapped his fist, into Schwartz's extended palm, but equally so of Schwartz to over react the way he did.

Heat of the moment stuff I suppose, unless there is history, between these two I am unaware of. It's more like the stuff you see, in long established divisional rivalries like TB and NO, for a good example!

    Morris gets fired.

Not from one of the Pirate ship cannons, but he's over the horizon.

He has been a loyal servant to Tampa Bay and I should imagine that some of the players are feeling a little bit guilty now.

    Panthers 10 Buc's 16

    1 2 3 4 FT
    0 0 7 3 10
    10 3 0 3 16

A strange one this, Panthers manged 10 yards rushing. That's it!

Here are stats for the main players, if we dare call some of them that.

    CAROLINA PANTHERS
    Passing Cmp Att Yds TDs
    C. Newton 23 33 303 1
    Rushing Car Yds Avg TDs
    K. Pilares 1 5 5 0
    C. Newton 5 4 0.8 0
    Receiving Rec Yds Avg TDs
    S. Smith 7 106 15.1 0
    B. LaFell 3 65 21.7 1

    TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
    Passing Cmp Att Yds TDs
    J. Freeman 16 24 138 1
    Rushing Car Yds Avg TDs
    D. Martin 24 95 4 0
    D. Ware 2 14 7 0
    Receiving Rec Yds Avg TDs
    V. Jackson 4 47 11.8 0
    D. Clark 1 33 33 0

If rookie Doug Martin, can average 4 per carry all season, that will do for me.

Hello Dan, what are you doing down here?!:)

Tampa had this game in the bag, they were two touchdowns ahead when I tuned in to Redzone. Are you a Giant man?

Well Mr N, they used the kneel down blitz again, against Dallas this time. I don't think it's very nice but everyone took the mickey out of TB when they used to play in orange and Bucko Bruce (possibly, the campest insignia ever to adorn a football helmet) was the emblem of the day.

Now they have a tough guy attitude again, like when Chucky was in charge no one seems to like that either.
