Just wondering what Chelsea are now thinking regards our team formation with Tammy upfront on his lonesome. It all started well banging the goals in,then teams have taken him out of the game by doubling up on him. At present he is not a threat. with us playing the formation of one up front. Tomlin is no where near close enough, to help him or cause issues. His brothers looked well miffed of at Reading Saturday, at half time shaking there heads in a dejected way. Tammy persona on the pitch, and his actions look like a young man who is screaming from within. Time to give the lad some assistance up front LJ,before it bites you on your arse.
Well Chelsea only play Costa up front so I guess they are happy we are going down the one up front route as well to fit in with their philosophy.
He does need some help- We have more than adequate personnel in midfield to help, however, Pack, O'Neill and Smith are defensive. Freeman is only just back from injury. I reckon O'Dowda ought to be given more of a go. The lad has pace and can generate crosses for Tammy. I would also use Patterson left side and replace Bryan with Golborne.Leave Tomlin to have a free role too. LJ says there will be changes this week. Its this sort of change that's needed rather than Smith for Pack etc
