Chelsea Unable to Recall Inform loan Star Tammy Abraham Chelsea will be unable to recall in-form striker Tammy Abraham as the Blues didn’t include a recall clause in their loan agreement with Bristol City. Abraham, 19, has been in exceptional form for Championship outfit scoring 11 times in 14 appearances in all competitions. Furthermore, the striker has been proving his talents on the international stage, scoring two goals on his full debut for England’s U21s. With the striker in such hot form, many Chelsea fans were eager for Antonio Conte to recall him – especially with Diego Costa being the club’s only consistent source for goals. However, according to the Evening Standard, Chelsea will be unable to bring Abraham back to Stamford Bridge this season as the club failed to include a recall option in his loan deal. The news will certainly delight The Robins, especially since they find themselves in fifth position in the Championship after 11 games and if Abraham can maintain his excellent form – there is a chance he could fire City into the Premier League. http://www.squawka.com/news/chelsea-unable-to-recall-inform-loan-star-tammy-abraham/796903 http://metro.co.uk/2016/10/12/tammy-abraham-reveals-the-positive-messages-from-chelsea-6188855/ http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/10/1...-identikit-pochettino-player-tottenham-hotsp/ http://www.squawka.com/news/boothroyd-abraham-is-a-great-finisher/796863 http://www.caughtoffside.com/2016/10/12/image-new-marcus-rashford-celebrates-debut-double/
Hope you enjoyed your mini break ..wx wasn't bad down that way either .. so far this year I have only managed a week away normally have 6 or 7
They say there is a no recall clause but I reckon that has to be a clause in there along the lines of that if both parties agree they can terminate the loan. Now I don't believe for a second it will happen but if Chelsea say they want Tammy back to play in their first team they could then put City under pressure to mutually terminate the loan. City wouldn't want this off course but the repercussions if we refuse could be a unhappy player and no further Chelsea players coming our way. Like I said I don't believe it will happen but there has to be a get out clause in there somewhere
I agree- It would be hard to say you cant have your player back just like that- it wouldn't only be Chelsea that wouldn't want to loan us anyone else in such a way- If it meant he was in Chelsea's first team and starting, as much as I would want him here with us, you couldn't really deny the lad that
You have to say that Mark Ashton and LJ did a great job in getting young Tammy. Even if there was a recall clause, Chelsea would be mad to have used it - he's learning what he needs to by playing every week at this stage.
Yes but if United or Spurs came in with an offer for 30 million their resolve could be tested, and then they may feel compelled to recall him and wrap him in cotton wool. Fortunate then for him, for England, and for us that the die is cast
we are now looking at a completely different format for transfers and loans ..already it is unfurling in so much as there are a lot of players who have had contracts terminated ( or let go) because there is no chance of dumping them out on loan for about 5 months or ... almost half their salary. what we mustn't do is confuse his performance in our division and playing for the u21's as being he is the quality of a £30-40m striker ...just yet how many non full capped u21's u23's or even under19's are there out there??? loads how many U'?? s are there playing in champs/div1/2 still only half way through careers a fair few . OK Tammy IS LIKELY TO BE A BIT SPECIAL .... BUT THINK why would Chelsea put him out on a whole year loan if in AUGUST they thought he was the next super striker! he had certainly popped in a few before coming to us!.................. if kept for next season as part of the Chelsea squad will he get the game time his mindset requires?
Probably not jgf and I wonder sometimes why talented players want to go back in to a system that may not give them valuable playing time. My advice to him would be to stay with us and enjoy the season and take whatever the summer has to offer. Why do we hear so much about both players and clubs wanting to tear up contracts when they were so keen on implementing them in the first place? If we cave in on this one I believe we will lose faith and I don't think we should kowtow to clubs like Chelsea just because they are a big team, we have rights and dreams as well. Tammy please stay but unfortunately someone else will make that decision for you. Let the chips fall where they may I suppose.
Mike there is nothing to cave in too. Chelsea haven't made any sort of approach. We just talking about what ifs at the moment. Don't panic!!!
Panic-what me? I think we are lucky to have this young man on our roster and I would congratulate whoever it was that negotiated the deal - well done, and long may it continue.
