Blimey what a lot happened on Friday!

Tamika Mkandawire signs from Millwall. Central defender who can also play in a defensive role in midfield. Aged 30 and recently been on loan at Southend and played at Leyton Orient. Scored a fair amount of goals for a defender in his past and also voted as fans player of the season in 2010 at Millwall. Also another ex Hereford player, we have managed to get rid of the Preston ones slowly and replace them ;)

This signing gives us a good mixture of experience and youth in CD.

Probably needed more as a defensive midfield player than at centre half unless the rumours about Jones going are true. If his play is as impressive as his hairstyle he will be a good acquisition.

Good signing, experience at this level and in the Championship. Another signing with Hereford connections, which seems to rile some people (not me, though - I think it makes sense for Turner to sign players he knows well). Also nice to hear him talking about Turner, Trewick and Ford being a big pull for him - I remember discussions on B&A about whether Turner has the kind of attraction which some seem to think. My take on it is that players who have worked under him will often be impressed (Mkandawire, Taylor, McGinn all being examples of that) and keen on returning, whereas others who haven't as much knowledge of the leagues may be more attracted by someone like Di Canio.

not a bad signing at all, always gives his best and a useful lad, nice to see things start happening, lets hope GT doesn't go to mad with loanees this season. its been a fair few years since he was playing under Turner but he was highly rated at Hereford and was thought to be heading for the premiership at one stage, but seem to remember he slipped through Turners hands and went off on a free. hes at a good age experienced wise and as got a few years left in him yet, so he might end up seeing out his career here.still cant understand why he kept Wildig and Bradshaw though.
