    Talksport has been bought by News Corp.

    Colin Murray has resigned and Stan Collymore has been sacked.

    Thought the thread was about the local BBC version of sportstalk. All week they have been bulling up tomorrows RL derby, the tenth this season, a city divided, high flying FC, the passion, the excitement, 'it will be a cracker' and so on. And today RL legend Alex Murphy is on record saying that modern day RL is not only boring it's ' boring, boring , boring'
    Made the RH trailers for the derby sound as ridiculous as they are.

    Not sure but I think when first came across this station Kelvin Mackenzie was involved before being at The Sun, or maybe as well as being at The Sun. But he has since fallen out with Murdoch I believe but I think its not beyond the realms of possiblities that he could be brought back which would mean that any Liverpool supporter would immediately boycott the station.

    I used to quite enjoy listening to Colin Murray doing Fighting Talk on 5 Live on the way to games.

    I never listen to Sportstalk.

    I listen to football commentaries on TS but of course don't like Collymore. He argues with the main commentator live on air!

    Can't stand Murray either.

    Not that I dislike the Caucasianly-challenged nor Ulsterpersons in general of course.

    With RH Sportstalk and RH sports news it's like they are just pretending there wasn't a deadline this last Monday for the sale of their local PL club. Bizzare to me, but then again some think it's absolutely fine that our local media say and do now't. :emoticon-0105-wink:

    Colin Murray has been incredibly annoying lately with all the Northern Ireland stuff, fair enough it was the Euros but the shows were unlistenable. Isn't Durham a Daily Heil columnist, that would be a massive result if he went too?
