Totally agree. Don’t let the Media play it for sound bites.

Massively against this cringey stuff. Each to their own but they made twats of themselves. I agree with the sentiment of the message, however isn’t that just how any fan feels about their club?

I’m sick of these embarrassing ****s thinking they are some sort of rebellion. Its even worse when it’s misplaced and the club has actually been run properly if late by the owner etc.

Whatever it takes to get the home crowd a bit louder and more forgiving is worth a shot, surely.

If they're going through past manager quotes, I hope the next one is "Which one of you is Simon Bird?"

It’s cringe. Also going on talksport and articulating the issues would be a good way of gaining traction. Not going because “they were mean about us” is ridiculous.

As if Talksport wanted anything other than someone unused to the Media going on and "getting" them to provide a soundbite for Talksports benefit.

It is. Its the same Steve Wraith esque morons time after time. Them and Ashley are welcome to each other really. They have a similar amount of class about them.

I'm sure Ashley is sitting hurt and mortified they have exposed him in such cruel fashion.

    Cocks.

It doesn’t take much to be eloquent and somewhat guarded in what you say. Go in with a script or a good idea of what you want to say, don’t get sucked into their games and use their platform for what it is. A chance to highlight the issues.

Agreed wholeheartedly. We are too emotional as a set of fans and go charging into overly passionate displays of BS. People like these fans really do just drag our club and non ****erish fans down.

We must mix in different circles as for a lot of people I come across you're asking the impossible.

It was good to see Fans with Passion and Love for the Club, the City, Geordies showing it.
    Certainly not cringeworthy or ****erish.
Besides, who gives a **** what others think of us.

I don’t give a **** what others think of us. I care about what I think of us. If these ****s put in half as much effort on Saturday afternoon getting behind our team, we’d be a whole lot better off. I’ve seen what a united fan base can achieve at Newcastle when they act in a positive fashion. I saw it under Keegan when they would rally at 1-0 down and roar would just get louder. This stuff isn’t passion. It’s just faux love for a club mixed with a bit of attention seeking and a lack of a brain.

I’m embarrassed for my fellow supporters. I don’t care whether they are bothered or couldn’t give a **** about that. What I care about is my club and it’s image. And these daft ****s with their signs and bedsheets haven’t got a clue what difficult times are for Newcastle United.

To be honest, whether you agree with the sentiment or not, that is a very impressive effort. Where do you see that kind of display in football, or English football at least? I get that it's a bit close to the edge in terms of picking a fight versus just rousing a bit of support and creating a display of flags, but it's just about on the right side of taste. The thing for me with Keegan's statement is a new owner won't necessarily give us our club back and I doubt our club will ever be what we wanted it to be.
